Go, it’s a must
Fantastic, it’s a must go to destination. All aspects of this very professional restaurant are outstanding. Great service from a courteous and friendly staff. The food and wine is first class. The atmosphere is ambient and welcoming. Book early.

A beautiful authentic environment, super friendly service and of course delicious food and drinks! Highly recommended for anyone in Valencia, advance booking is required! We wanted to go a second time during our stay but everything was full - and rightly so! :)
Be the first to ReplyA must -do when in Valencia!
We booked and visited on recommendation, and were not disappointed. Beautiful setting and great ambiance. Staff are excellent, friendly, helpful and efficient and the food was exceptional. The best tapas we have ever had.

Like the last times a great and “must do” spot at Cabañyal - traditional, cozy and delicious- we had various tapas and by the time they arrived we enjoyed cava and mistela! Reservation necessary !

Booked from home after reading several reviews and blogs. Historic place among the alleys, few seats and very characteristic. Delicious dishes and good wine. Definitely recommended!

Great atmosphere, great food and the staff were friendly and attentive. We sat at the bar, which gave us a front row on the food and staff serving. All chatting to us and making us feel at welcome. We were lucky to get in as I think most diners had reserved tables in advance. We arrived early afternoon on a Thursday so thankfully not mega busy.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing restaurant !
This was our best meal in Valencia . We "harrassed" the lovely maître d' every day for 3 days just in case there was a cancellation for dinner (there was not) but she did find us a table for lunch . It was just amazing . Every single dish we had . The interior is great, the atmosphere was buzzing and our waitress was lovely . If you want to sample some local traditional cuisine this is the place to go. Just book your dinner in advance !
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favourite places in Spain
This is without doubt one of my favourite places in the entire of Spain. The food, drink, service - everything is fantastic. Ask the staff for recommendations and you won’t be sorry. It gets very busy so you should absolutely book. Fabulous.
Be the first to ReplyWorth the hype. Book in advance
This was the only place we booked in advance of our weekend break, and so glad we did. Characterful venue with excellent food and choice of drinks
Be the first to ReplyOutrageous disappointment
We booked to have a special tasting menu for our final night of a holiday in Spain. I am a – very – flexible vegetarian, and my husband eats everything. My vegetarian “tasting menu” consisted of five dishes: - a plate of sliced salad tomatoes with a scattering of salt - 3 small triangles of manchego cheese, sliced from a block, with NOTHING else - 2 thin leeks in sauce - 5 padrone peppers - A small watery pile of omelette with (what appeared to be), a scattering of tinned mushrooms in it My husband’s “tasting” menu was barely better. We each received a fairly dry bread roll. I asked the sommelier to recommend a glass of Spanish white wine similar to Sancerre or Sauvignon blanc. What arrived was the bin end of a watery wine called “Lady Noble” or similar, (which appeared to be the Spanish equivalent of Blue Nun based on the price which appeared on the bill as €2.90 against the restaurant average of 5–7 € per glass.) Photos below on this site belie the tiny size of the portions, even for tapas. The staff were charming. We did not complain to the staff as they do not design the menu. But we felt that we had been taken for a ride, and we had dined far better and far cheaper at other restaurants and Tapas bars throughout the week. This experience was therefore extremely disappointing, especially as it was supposed to be a last night treat. (I am a Spanish speaker and have lived extensively in Europe, so I do not feel that our expectations of were unreasonable or unjustified).
Be the first to ReplyVery good food, but make sure to book a table
Lovely food and a great choice of wine and vermouth. Can highly recommend the patatas bravas and solomillo - end the menu with a trufa - it melts in your month. Be sure to book a table, especially if you want to go there at the weekend.

Wow! We loved this place, all the things we ordered were amazing. Also the service was great and very helpful. You can’t miss this place when you are going to Valencia.
Be the first to ReplyOver rated!
We have been a few times over the time we have lived here, but I don't think I will go anymore. The value for money is ridiculous and it's not even that good really. The wine is good , but does not come at a cheap price!!! Heavily booked and almost impossible to get a table a week in advance. I find it to be a bit too pompous and too expensive. There are better places to eat in Cabanyal.
Be the first to ReplyGreat value, but book early
This is a lovely restaurant in a bit of an off the track part of Valencia, but don't be put off. Wonderful waiting staff, great food very well priced, and just a pleasure to visit once you've got there. If you're staying locally it is a must, but so is booking early. If you're not staying locally it is well worth the cab fare.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and amazing chilli tequila cocktails
We sat at the bar and had delicious seafood dishes and several fantastic chilli tequila marguerita-like cocktails made by Danny. With a delicious dried pear slice. The best cocktails I’ve had in a while!
Be the first to ReplyClassic place in Cabanyal..
I always stop by here once or twice when I'm in town and it's nice to be remembered ..You can always depend on great tapas from the regular menu and something nice seasonally. Coming from snowy Poland I was very surprised and delighted to enjoy a BIG half order of tomatoes that were delicious even at end of Febuary... but the real treat were the grilled slices of artichoke hearts slathered in olive oil that had just come into season.. Delicious.. Wine by the glass allows you to sample plenty of the good stuff they get in.. Always fun...A Valencian classic for many many many years...
