A list restaurant: Excellent food but very high priced
Extremely nice setting with very friendly staff. I understand why this a a place for A-listers in London. Prices are very high so be willing to open up your wallet. Service goes fast, too fast. Enjoy it, but don't complain if you have a high bill ;)
Be the first to ReplyNot taking responsibility!
I brought 10 friends to dinner. One of their staff members reached over to clear something off the table and spilled a full glass of red wine over my brand new outfit. At the moment, they acted like they would make the situation whole, but they have not. They have then tried to say it was my husband's arm, but he was on the other side of the staff member and not near the glass. Not only have not paid for dry cleaning or replacement of the ruined clothes, they are just stringing me along after numerous follow-ups over the past two months. Very disappointing.

Good food and friendly staff even if it is on the most expensive side. The service was good and everything arrived on time. The quality of the food is high, as I said, is it worth it?

Our first visit and what a great find, the best steak in London. Impeccable service, Sophia was our server and was as knowledgable of the menu as she was attentive to our table. Great music and delicious cocktails, the wine list was overwhelmingly good - but with an equally good selection of wines by the glass. Don't expect a cheap night out, but in London, you get what you pay for.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food and splendid service
We dined at Casa Cruz in early September. Loved the South American theme for the menu and everyone enjoyed the array of dishes we chose. We also loved the Chilean wine recommendation and the stylish vibe of decor. Lovely evening

Dining at Casa Cruz is always an exceptional experience with knowledgable and friendly staff, delicious food and a decadent atmosphere. Our go-to for a special meal
Be the first to ReplyOk food and disappointing service
The 1.2kg steak and the meat tartare were ok. The roasted avocado was absolutely flavorless and unripe. The waiter was obviously pushing us to order more food than we wanted (instead the amount we ordered was more than sufficient). While addressing older people, the waiter consistently used a language which is way too informal and absolutely inappropriate for any restaurant of any level. He also wasn’t very knowledgeable about the food on the menu. We were quite disappointed with this place.

My birthday dinner. I'm a local and have always wondered what lay behind the gold door.. door man was lovely really welcoming. All the staff greated us and made us feel very welcome. We had Valery who looked after us all evening - he was amazing, so professional, passionate and kind hearted. He recommended dishes and drinks. He made sure we was happy with everything To be honest, the food is average for the price. The drinks are delicious but be willing to fork out as the service is consistent and the drinks keep coming. Atmosphere lovely. We sat on the terrace which was lovely as warm weather. The decor is stunning, the mirror staircase and toilets are fun and instagramable if your thing! I'd recomend for drinks and nibbles!
Be the first to ReplyGreat atmosphere and vibe! Food was average.
Great atmosphere and vibe. It had a cool style and the service was brilliant, slightly disappointed by the food. Overall a lovely experience
Be the first to ReplyCasa Cruz New York Thumbs Down!!!
This place is so pretentious and obnoxious. They had the audacity to charge my Resy account $100 for canceling the day before we were supposed to eat there. With all the restaurants in New York City, you would think that they would like to be customer friendly. Clearly, I have zero intent of wasting my time with such obnoxious arrogant conceited restaurant owners. Casa Cruz you should be ashamed of yourself. Rob S
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointing first visit
While we had reserved a table for 12 people which implicated to take a set menu (which I completely understand). The food standards were very underwhelming, the starter was an uncut salad (without seasoning, nor tasty ingredients) and burrata (most probably the easiest dishes to prepare on a plate... Additionally the quantity of the food served was minimal (1 pasta dish for 3 people). With a final bill at 150 pounds per person I would have expected to have a better experience and food.
Be the first to ReplyLovely dinner, fantastic service, horrific management.
Terrible experience this evening. After a lovely dinner (good food and service), both of my parents fell down the staircase as they were using the restroom (the second parent was even warned first). I asked to speak with a manager to raise concerns over the hazard (the bathroom attendant mentioned falls happen regularly), and the manager could not have been less apologetic or more condescending towards both me and my mother. There was zero concern over how my mother was doing or how we would get home, and there was nothing done to make amends. He made my mother feel incompetent for managing to fall and belittled us both. This experience ruined a perfectly good meal, and I can’t imagine supporting a business with such horrific management.
Be the first to ReplyGlamorous Notting Hill restaurant - some areas could do with a spruv
We were lucky enough to be seated on their terrace on a warm night for my first time visiting this much celebrated restaurant since its opening a few years ago. The food was generally very well received (and our group included two chefs!) and couldn't be faulted and we tried all the main courses. Everything from the cod and chicken to the lamb and beef were delicious, well presented and seasoned. Whilst the waiter was really friendly and clearly doing his best, the service was too slow to be acceptable for a restaurant of this quality and clearly they need to hire more support. Some of the decor, a lot of floor to ceiling mirrors (someone else has compared it to the aesthetic in Scarface - which is spot on) and brown hues looked a bit tired and dated. This was more noticeable on my walk through the restaurant to where we wer seated but I can imagine this would be less noticeable on a night when it was packed to the rafters and felt more like nightclub but it jarred with my generally positive experience on the evening we visited, where all diners were seated on the 2nd floor terrace and adjoining dining room. Other than that, it was a good experience and I would look to visit again.

Be the first to ReplyAvoid at all costs!
My friends and I had booked a table for 8:45 which we were shown to as soon as we arrived. The restaurant decor is great - imagine a “Scarface” set on steroids.
The loo interior was perhaps taken a step too far: every single wall is covered in mirrors which makes for an interesting experience!
We were served by a very well spoken maitre d’. I ordered a beer as an aperitif - he told me that he loved this Neom beer and “drank at least 5 a day”.
We proceeded to order three starters to share. Two arrived within 20 mins - both the vitello tonnato and tomatoes and burrata were simple dishes but tasty enough. A waiter then asked us if he could clear our starter plates, I told him we had not yet received our third starter which surprised him. He assured me it would arrive soon. We waited another 20 mins for our langoustines: we were each given one and the waiter proceeded to squeeze lemon on them, using his hand, no fork or other utensils were used which made me wonder whether they were ever given any hygiene training.
Our main courses came 25 mins later. I chose the vegan ragou with pasta instead of courgettes. A bland dish which I ate in its entirety as by that point I was ravenous.
We asked for the bill which we were duly given…£105 pp. After 15 mins I asked if we could pay and the waiter proceeded to bring us a second bill as he had misunderstood.
A mediocre at best three hour dinner which I so wish I had avoided.
Surprisingly good at skirting around covid lockdown rules
My friends and family were finding ourselves bored during the worldwide pandemic and uk lockdown. But selfishly we decided to find a poncey and uncaring dive to host a little get together. With no care for infection control, this place can apparently cater from your hidden party as long as you have the cash to spunk up front.
Certainly sounds like the place you should avoid at all costs. This unscrupulous haunt should have its licence revoked
Avoid
Poor service and mediocre food
I would thoroughly recommend avoiding this establishment. We were waiting a long time to be served (considering the cost) and when the good arrived we were not impressed by it. There are far better places in London for this type of cuisine.
Note: it appears this location does not follow covid lockdown rules - making you wonder what other rules they do not follow
Dismal Visit with Bubble!
We dined here at the weekend despite the restaurant allowing celebrities to book parties and believing they are better than the rest of the population.
The food was mediocre at best and the hospitality appalling. Perhaps because we hadn’t booked in 30 of our celebrity friends at the same time?
Having visited I would urge all to give this restaurant a wide birth especially considering they can ignore the current restrictions based on social status of bookings.
Borderline larceny
Despite the recent press about Casa Cruz and agains't my better judgement, we booked a table for 4 people for dinner. At over £600 it was an expensive night out. After dinner we were charged a further £200 on our credit card for a 'no show'.
The manager who we contacted to resolve the situation was one of the most appalling individuals I've had the misfortune of dealing with. I was accused of lying about honouring my booking, asked what cocktails we had had to start with, which wines were drunk, how much the final bill was and that they'd have to check the cctv, after we'd spent £600 on one dinner, during a period when hospitality is on it knees. Quite the worst experience I've had dinning out in London over the last 20 years. AVOID.
Expensive
We ate here just before lockdown in March and were called a few days later - our neighbours sitting next to us contracted Covid and sure enough 2 days later my husband had it. Clearly haven't been back since. But then saw the press and realised we never reviewed the restaurant from March. I have reviewed it before. Food is good but they truly need to look at their pricing. It is good, clean, well prepared food. Staff lovely - and at Casa Cruz they aren't snooty like they are at sister restaurant Isabel. But the bill is just enormous and I guess if they are just catering for Rita Ora and her friends they don't care, but I don't know... places that make Zuma and Hakkasan look reasonable are too expensive for me - especially these days.

Beautiful place to go! There’s always a side part unfortunately.!
The place is stunning and cosy, service and food are brilliant however the prices a bit too much for the overall picture!
In business you need balance too!
Food average, bill, however, was not!
Our initial reaction on arriving at Casa Cruz on Saturday was a good one, restaurant was buzzy, lovely and warm and smelt divine. Lovely scent from candles etc. Menu looked nice, prices on the high side and the wine was very expensive. The food was forgettable alas. All dishes were served piping hot and the staff were very nice, but the flavours and cooking just weren't up to scratch. My husband had stringy and fatty lam; my seabass was bland and certainly didn't warrant its £38 price tag. Octopus carpaccio was cut too thickly. A shame as on paper, the menu sounds superb.
Be the first to ReplyAvoid unless you are a smoker
The good: the staff and service were exceptional
The food was delicious and potions and presentation were excellent but it in no way warrants it’s price tag
The bad: we sat on the terrace so we were outside in what was a fully enclosed space with heaters and umbrellas protecting the area from wind / rain and cold which should have been wonderful BUT given that everyone can smoke there you will spend your evening eating your food coated with a continuous layer of disgusting smoke - the woman on the table next to me didn’t put hers down for the entire 2 hours managing to eat and smoke at the same time and she was definitely less than 2m away from me not that anyone cared either way. On the table opposite a man puffed on a cigar! In an areas less than 10m wide - really not how I want to spend two hours and £200
As a result despite the lovely staff and pela sent food I would never go back
