Literally incredible!! The Italian food here just tastes fresh and homemade!! I truly enjoyed the eggplant parm and the ricotta with garlic bread (RGB)! The RGB is a perfect amount of crispy and soft. Get it!
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite restaurants in Dallas.
Cannot WAIT until they re-open under a different name. Classy atmosphere, good service, and one of the best Italian spots in Dallas. The garlic bread with ricotta and toasted ravioli are delicious. LOVE the chicken parm, shrimp scampi, and and totellini. The carrot cake is to die for! I need info on when they will re-open!! This is my first time not going for my birthday - so sad!

UPDATE: Carbone's is CLOSED!!! What happened???Im sure there are other things on the menu are good, but I can't seem to stop ordering the Creste With Gravy...it's DELICIOUS! This is just a great little Italian place: definitely worth a visit! We've been here numerous times and have never been disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyA delightful restaurant with a neighborhood feel.
Ventured here for lunch and had the lasagna with garlic bread and salad. The pasta was delicious, sauce was fragrant, and cheese was plentiful. I just heard they're closed and hope they come back because Dallas needs to hold on to its locally owned GOOD restaurants, not just the burger and bbq spots.

The vodka tortellini is amazing! The spaghetti is ok but the meatballs are incredible! I have to add the portions are small but the sauces are heavy & filling. My favorite appetizer is the RICOTTA & bread!! It's delicious. The location, atmosphere are nice and dressy. I love getting a Togo from here when I'm feeling lazy! It's a must try dallas jewel!
Be the first to ReplyMy linguine with shrimp scampi really lacked flavor.
I don't know if it was because it was 30 minutes until close but it just really had no flavor. The wine was great and great atmosphere of people and vibes though. Will still give a second chance, might of just been an off night.

Delicious! Everything I ordered was hot fresh and well worth the 35 min wait. Server was kind and efficient. Filled out water glasses without us needing to flag him down or ask. I don't have a picture of the Caesar salad but the lettuce as crisp, dressing tasted good, and the croutons were house made which was a huge plus! My family and I will definitely be back.

I love the intimate atmosphere. They lost a star because the lasagna was a little bland and overcooked. However the bruschetta, the vodka pasta and chicken Parmesan were all so incredible. They also have the most incredible carrot cake for dessert. It's moist and the frosting is not too sweet. It was the perfect way to end the meal

Friendly staff, excellent food, and great environment for a date or family dinner.

My daughter and I went last night for the first time and it was excellent! Added to sour weekly rotation of great restaurants.

So we've got two Carbone's now (actually one Carbone) and we finally got to try the long standing Barsotti restaurant on Oak Lawn Avenue that I've been hearing about for years. No question the food, from the very limited menu was good with special mention of an excellent Bolognese sauce on my Lasagna. Caesar salad was pretty bland, no nice crunchy Italian bread to go with it and a mediocre cannoli for desert. The décor is fresh, modern, sparse. Decent wine list. Not much else to say, a bit pricey for what they provide ($100 for pasta and 2 drinks?). it was good but I wouldn't go out of my way to return.Looking forward to trying the new place from the New York Carbone

We decided to go tonight for dinner after reading a review of the top 100 restaurants in Dallas in the Observer and it was great! We had the fried ravioli, they were huge and had sausage in them. Super yummy. We didn't have salad, but the ones going by looked amazing. I had the fusilli special with chicken meatballs and vodka sauce. It was fantastic. My husband had the veal Parmesan. It was a big piece of meat and the fresh parm was melted on top. The real star of the show for me was the cannoli though! The price was very reasonable for the quality of food and the service was good. We went right at 5:30 when they opened and by 6:15 the restaurant was full. Would definitely recommend and plan to go back!

This Carbone's is NOT to be confused with the Carbone down the street. This establishment is family owned, intimate, amazing and fairly priced. To my fellow Dallasites--support your local Oak Lawn businesses by coming HERE!!

Mondays are half off bottles of wine too so it's a perfect date night, split a bottle and get amazing pasta. I can't branch out and try anything other than the tortellini because their vodka sauce is just too good to pass up.

A great lunch spot in Uptown! I absolutey love their homemade pasta. It is chewy & has a bit of a bite to it. My first time trying it, I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh it was. I usually order the shrimp scampi linguine. Another review said it could use more butter, but the last time I had it, it was greasy & buttery! Hmm, I am sensing consistency issue here. You can also buy their fresh pasta by the pound. When I bought some, it was about $11/lbs. If you're looking for a particular shape of pasta they don't normally carry, you can custom order it from them as long as you meet their minimum order requirement.

100% otro nivel de comida italiana, con servicio 5 estrellas!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food with great service.
Veil Parm was very good as well as the chocolate cake.
Be the first to ReplyI'm floored.
This is the best Italian I've had in Dallas by far. The ambience is tasteful and clean. The tables are generously spaced apart with clean white table cloths and white paper. Minimalistic for an Italian place but there's some great pics on the walls. Order the toasted ravioli. You won't regret it. Best I've had. Large. Delicate. Crisp but not at all hard. Filling was soft and delicious. They give you house made rolls. Ours were fresh from the oven. Again. Light and crisp outer with a soft and airy inside. Delicious. For dinner I had the lasagna and she had the linguini scampi. Both were delicious. Can't wait to come

Went to this place thinking it was the new opening of the original Carbone in New York! The New York Carbone is opening in Design District in March and is under construction. This restaurant has the same name, but has been on Oak Lawn for many years. Made reservations for a Saturday night, restaurant was packed, very cozy and lots of locals. The menu is small, but still has a good selection. Ordered the garlic bread with ricotta, tortellini vodka, lasagne bolognese, and linguine scampi. All dishes were fresh and very tasty. Loved the vodka sauce and the lasagne bolognese had the right proportions of meat, sauce, and cheese. The linguine scampi could have used a little bit more butter, but was still good. Great service and atmosphere.

If you want a terrific Italian dinner while being treated like a king, go here. Their menu is small, but that is because they do everything on it, perfectly. The service is always stellar and food...the food will make you want to knock over a bus full of nuns to get to a plate. Run, don't walk to try Carbone's.
