Foods were more creative and unique to compare to other brunch restaurants. Vies and ambiance are unbeatable. Service was good too. Vallet is expensive but well.. the location lol

After our morning hike in Topanga, we decided to grab brunch at Cafe on 27, attracted by its stunning outdoor atmosphere, surrounded by nature. We opted to share the Daddy's Combo, which consisted of three organic eggs (omelette style) & cheese wrapped around a sausage, served with a side of patatas bravas topped with assorted peppers and spiced tomato sauce. We also ordered the zizulini pasta, a creamy Alfredo sauce pasta dish with zucchini, fresh herbs, and topped with macadamia nuts. While both dishes were tasty, the pasta was a tad salty for our liking.Valet parking is available for $7, or you can try to find limited free parking on the side of the road. Overall, Cafe on 27 is a great spot for a nature-filled brunch experience.
Be the first to ReplyLove the location and the decor.
It's a nature experience , good vibes from the trees and the green on the surrounding. Been her many times, the only bad side is the service, it's going slow to slower every time I go. Weekend are not recommended, you can wait over on hour for your food and over 20 minutes just to order it. On the week days it's a little better but still not a place to go if you are in the rush. You need at least an hour to eat here. But food is delicious and ambience is amazing so worth the wait!
Be the first to ReplyGorgeous place! The wait was quite long but understandable.
The view was amazing and the staff were very funny. The guy at the counter made jokes and was down to earth the entire time I was waiting. We weren't here for the food but for the views. Nothing too special but that was to be expected. We didn't order anything out of the ordinary. Would come back and try other options next time.

The five of us drove out from Orange County to try this popular eatery! We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation time, but we were seated promptly, thankfully. The staff was incredibly friendly, and helpful. Despite the lively weekend crowd, our service was seamless throughout and our food arrived promptly. We feasted on an assortment of dishes that made my taste buds jazz in delight. From the phantastic Mimi's pancakes, fluffy and adorned with amaretto whipped butter and hints of lemon zest, to the creamy clam chowder, every bite was a flavor explosion. The baklava was bite-sized sugariness gold that paired perfectly with the mint tea. Each dish was scrumptious and bursting with flavors. The presentation of the fancy egg dish with potatoes, a baguette, and ground beef patties was nice, arriving covered by a blue ceramic plate on top. The runniness of the sunny side egg yolk mixing with all the other flavorful ingredients was a 10/10. The infusion of Turkish flavors throughout each dish was well-balanced, making for a pleasant dining experience amidst the stunning canyon setting.Parking would have been a challenge if not for the valet service, but the restaurant's attention to detail extended to that aspect as well. In short, I cannot think of a single reason not to check out this eatery. Oh, and I have to mention the yellow mini BMW parked inside the restaurant - it's such a cool touch!

Checked out this spot on a Saturday morning for breakfast and coffee. The food and the views of the mountains were amazing! Although reservations are suggested, the wait time was less than 30 min. There is enough parking down the canyon or you can pull up at the valet which is only $6 bucks. Very chill place, the staff was very attentive!

.. you've found it! My girlfriend and I had a terrific lunch overlooking the canyon. We ordered a couple cappuccinos and a Tuna Salad sandwich with a side of fresh fruit. 10/10! - Matt and Emma

I was so excited to try this restaurant but it let me down personally. Food had no flavor whatsoever. Waiter gave OK service. Would not recommend.

I will start by saying that the setting of the restaurant, and the views it offers, are beautiful and stunning. However, the service was ridiculously slow and the food was mediocre. Without exaggerating, it took nearly an hour for our two burgers and salad to arrive. A table next to us literally had their meal delivered to them less than 10 minutes after ordering it. We could not believe our eyes. The description of the burgers on the menu made them sound like they would be much better than they were. They were thin patties that were well overdone, charred, and dry. The fries were lukewarm. The Chinese Chicken Salad was the best item, but it really wasn't very good either. The fruit cup we ordered was nearly taste free, as if it came from a low-quality provider. ย We are here on vacation, so we wish we would have used this time to go to a better restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyI loved the ambiance of this restaurant.
The customer service was excellent. The potatoes were my favorite.I ordered a very simple meal, but perhaps next time I'll order something a little heartier.I know we are dealing with inflation and it's difficult these days, but I felt the price of coffee was a little high. The coffee was refilled, but was never piping hot. My only gripe. But I would recommend this spot to anyone who loves to be outdoors and enjoy good company with family or friends. Try to carpool as parking could be limited especially on the weekend.

. that's how I describe this gem! The breakfast food was really good as well. The service was great. For a moment you do not feel like you are in LA. There is something special energetically going on here.
Be the first to ReplyThe coffee was great but they was it.
My wife ordered the chicken and rice it came cold we asked if they can reheat it they took it and brought it back the same. I will go back and give them another chance but maybe just for coffee and the view.

Beautiful view! Awesome food!Great place for breakfast and lunch fifth friends and family!
Be the first to ReplyFood is always brilliant.
Service is a mystery. Will I get water? Idk... Will I get served before all the other guests that sat down after me? Idk... Should I get up and grab utensils from the basket because I'm too hungry to wait for someone to get them for me? Probably... Will my waiter care if there's lipstick on my dad's coffee mug? Nah. Still worth the atmosphere and yummy food/coffees sans someone else's lipstick.
Be the first to ReplyLoved the view and the food.
This little cafe is on the ropa va canyon curves on the mountains. This is perfect for a family get together or just a girls night out! It's like having brunch on a tree house. Definitely recommend.

The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because the staff was nice and those in my party enjoyed their food for the most part (there were a couple issues). The low review has to do with two things (one minor and one major):1. Minor: service and delivery of requested items was incredibly SLOW and we had to ask for items multiple times. ย And how do you possibly run out of decaf coffee early on a Sunday? 2. Major: Amir, the owner/GM (I'm not sure if his exact role) flat out LIED to me in writing....Anyone who knows me, knows I take honesty VERY seriously! I emailed Cafe on 27 with a few, very simple questions, in order to help surprise my friend with a little "extra" for her birthday. ย In the inquiry, I asked about having mimosas pre-set up, setting up some decorations in advance and if I could bring in a cake. ย Not only did it take a WEEK to get a full response, the response wasn't truthful.Okay, I get the no alcohol thing, but Amir put in writing that "health department codes and insurance provisions do not allow brining in food items" (screen shot attached for validation).Yet he told my friend (the birthday girl) that it was fine to bring a cake in as long as it didn't need refrigeration, so she did...not knowing I'd been told the opposite since I was trying to surprise her.During our time there, I also saw two other tables bring in cakes without any sort of contention. This was my first and LAST time at Cafe on 27... I cannot and will not support any business that is dishonest by selectively choosing exceptions to what are supposed to be "policies".
