Food is amazing
Food is amazing. The restaurant is one of the best in the area. Very delightful experience. The staff was great. The wines were great too.
Be the first to ReplyDelightful, always :-)
Always a delight to spend a sometime at cafe Boulud. Good service and food quality is constant. Never had a bad meal here. From the appetizer to the dessert a real feast.
Be the first to ReplyPoor high tea experience
Had high expectations for the new high tea at Cafe Boulud. One week before our reservation I received a call informing us the price was increasing from $45 per person to $65 per person . I said I thought they should honor the price we booked at and not almost 50% increase but they wouldn’t so I accepted that and assumed we would still have a fabulous time . We were all disappointed in the tiny assortment of teas and sandwiches and pastries we received but the worst part was the service . We felt like we were imposing on the waitress when we asked a question or for more hot water for tea. We asked for check and waited 30 minutes before we received wrong check and has to wait again for correct check. Will not be back will go to the breakers next time
Be the first to ReplyNeed a more imaginable selection
Not a great lunch selection. We always enjoyed muscles and frites for lunch. They haven’t had that in a while. I don’t need to eat a cheeseburger or salad there. I can eat that anywhere. I hope they bring back the muscles. An enjoyable environment eating outside but needs a more imaginable menu.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Breakfast
I think the recent reviews are a little harsh. To be clear my review is only based on the meals we had while staying at the Brazilian Court. And that was breakfast. But each meal we had was terrific with great service and super fresh high quality ingredients. Brioche French toast with berries mint and cream was awesome as well as the egg sandwich and even oatmeal and granola. Again we didn’t have lunch or dinner but based on breakfast this is a solid restaurant
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed
Was not impressed with the Food at all. It felt like a meal that is served in a Convention , plane , no soul , basic and obvious , not what you expect from Boloud ‘s restaurants . And consequently overpriced .
Be the first to ReplyDescending Standards...
We live here in Palm Beach year round and have been enjoying Cafe Boulud at the Brazilian Court Hotel for many, many years. We frequent the restaurant for its superior food/service and its commitment to refined dining. Through the recent demise and overcrowding of Palm Beach, the restaurant seemed to be resisting the influx of the "influencer" crowd, and staying true to its fine dining roots. Our recent Saturday evening dinner, sadly, proved that the property and restaurant management seems to have elected to also descend into that crowd's depths. While we enjoyed some lovely service and quality food during this past weekend's experience, the evening was soured by the cheapened vibe and complete disappearance of any form of a dress code. Upon our arrival, we were "greeted" by a rather unfriendly host. At the time, we noticed many unattended young children in and around the bar and reception area, so we requested a quieter table if possible. We were swiftly whisked to the back of the dining room and offered one of those shared bench style tables alongside a family - stroller parked at the table and young children staring into iPads. Not exactly what we were hoping for in a Saturday evening dinner out at an expensive Daniel Boulud restaurant. Stroller parked indoors in such a lovely room? With that, we opted to dine outdoors where things were a bit quieter. Our meal was fine. The lovely service was really the highlight in all honesty. While dining, we were rather surprised to see a twenty-something aged group waltz in and be seated adjacent to us - sporting cycling shorts and sneakers and bandanas. Kind of takes away from the fine dining experience to see this parade in? Not at all the standards to which the property once held dear. After dinner, we returned indoors for a drink at the bar, which opens up into the dining room. We were beyond horrified to witness the restaurant's scene at 8 - 8:30 PM. Loud cell phone calls and absolutely zero standards of dress. We sat rather horrified watching this one particular (tattoo saturated) female patron waltz about and then take a seat in a gold sports bra and some type of yoga shorts. No lie. Mid-section completely bare. She too also appeared far more interested in her public cell phone calls than in any of the pricey wine that appeared to be decanted at her table's side. Smack in the center of the dining room. What a horror! I get it that this is sadly the culture of 2023. But, there remain many diners like us who would prefer NOT to have a lovely dinner out compromised in such a fashion. I fully expect this type of bad manners at most restaurants today, which is why we are very intentional about choosing establishments which offer a bit more of a refined experience. If that means dining out less frequently, so be it. When I expressed (to a manager) on Saturday evening our disappointment in the restaurant's sorry state of affairs, I was told, "well it is summer, and we are more casual." Sports bras? What is next? We were saddened to see that Cafe Boulud has pivoted in such a fashion and lowered their traditional (year-round) high standards. Our dining experience was significantly impacted by the scene we witnessed on Saturday night. No thank you. I would not rush back there any time soon for a meal...
Be the first to ReplyIs This Cafe Boulud or Kennel Boulud?
We have been dining at Cafe Boulud for over 10 years. The food & ambiance are amazing. Everything was spectacular from the kitchen except the Creme Bule’ which was inedible. It tasted and had a texture like cold riccoto cheese dipped in Bourbon — very Disappointing. However, the rest was truly world-class. However, today ( father’s day) it felt like we were dining in Kennel Boulud not Cafe Boulud. Due this to this experience, and all the other great restaurants on our island, we will probably not return. There were 10 plus dogs of all shapes and sizes. In fact, one couple had 2 dogs- a very large one and a small one. Another larger dog started barking and snapping at a dog at the table right next to us. It was terrible! I understand the need for service dogs and several of the dogs had service vests and were very well behaved. However, the majority were not service dogs— one member of our party is very afraid of dogs— so it ruined the experience for us. The restaurant has an outside porch and dining area in the courtyard. If a customer insists on being selfish by bringing their non-service animal into a fine fining establishment, the very least the restaurant could do is make the dog people dine outside rather than in close proximity of other diners inside the main dining room. I prefer not to dine in a kennel. We will not be returning.

From start to finish everything was fantastic. Servers were polite and available as needed. The food was top notch, each course tasted amazing and was beautifully played. Wine was paired well with our meal. Excellent experience!!

Very attentive waiters and marvelous bread and butter. Horrid pasta and dried Dover sole. Cheese cake good. Sad to say as before for years was good
Be the first to Replya superb Restaurant under the Leadership of world-famous Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud’
this restaurant is an upscale dining experience. It is located in posh Palm Beach, Florida at the Brazilian Court Hotel. “Café Boulud” in Palm Beach is a fine dining experience. The setting is terrific, looking out into a beautiful manicured Court yard full of tropical plants. The wait-Staff is very professional and the food is exquisite-like gone to heaven- we started with the delicious appetizer , DB SCOTTISH SMOKED SALMON, & the CHARCUTERIE selection of pâtés, ( WoW- see the photos..) the main course: ORA KING SALMO.N, & Lam Tenderloin on a bed of “ Ratatouille “.. and to top it off we selected OPÉRA CAKE espresso ganache, almond dacquoise coffee ice cream.. what a MEAL it was...we satiate the all the Chef's at "Café Boulud” ... Keep up the good work and we shall be backafé Boulud”
Be the first to ReplyBest burger anywhere
Without a doubt this is the best hamburger anywhere. The meat for the burger stands out alone as the star. It is always cooked to perfection even when asking for it rare there is such a nice crust which makes it even better. We have been there many times and it is always the same perfection. The turkey sandwich is also superior and nicely put together with avocado, bacon, micro-greens on tasty bread. The service is top notch professional. Actually wish the burger was not as good as I never try anything else - but someday I will. . For the best burger anywhere this is the place.
Be the first to ReplyNot overly impressed
We went here for dinner one evening. We were seated outside. The setting was very nice it was a lush garden landscape. The service was very good. The menu was rather limited. The oysters on the appetizer were small but the gazpacho was good. The main courses were average. The deserts were nothing special. The drinks were overpriced. Overall we did not think the meal justified the $300.00 final check.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent experience
We are outside in the lovely courtyard with palm trees and a fountain Food was tasty and service was fine.
Be the first to Replywhat a wonderful dining experience
We dined heavenly at “Café Boulud” part of the Brazilian Court Resort in Palm Beach. French Chef Daniel Boulud received two Michelin stars. The presentation of the food, and the taste of it,and the impeccable service are exquisite. What a wonderful Dining experience, worth every Penny. We ordered: DB SCOTTISH SMOKED SALMON, CHARCUTERIE A selection of pâtés, ORA KING SALMON, Lam Tenderloin on a bed of “ Ratatouille “ and Couscous...and for Dessert, OPÉRA CAKE OH, WHAT A SPECIAL TREAT THIS EVENING WAS,ALL I CAN SAY IS, WE HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN. NOW LOOK AT THE PHOTOS
Be the first to ReplyPoor service, mediocre food, stratospheric prices!
On our last evening on Palm Beach my partner and I wanted a fine anniversary dinner in a romantic setting. We chose Cafe Boulud based on internet and a travel magazine recommendation. The ambiance was great, the service was not and the food quality was a HUGE disappointment -particularly so given the stratospheric prices. We shared a beet salad and a shrimp cocktail as appetizers. The salad was small and uninspiring. Beet salads need a commingling of flavors to be good. This one was bland. The cocktail consisted of four large shrimp ( or possibly prawns) plus lime slices and red sauce. The presentation was nice but the shrimp lacked flavor almost like they had been frozen for an extended time period. We then waited for about a half-hour for our entrees to arrive. And by then we had gone through most of the expensive bottle of 1 Cru Chablis. I ordered the imported Dover Sole and my partner ordered the local Grouper. She took two bites and told me the Grouper was dryer out. I also tasted it and clearly it was way overcooked - the cardinal sin for seafood. My Sole was also overcooked but still edible. I flagged down the waiter and we told him the Grouper was unacceptable. He said nothing and just disappeared. Nobody returned to further resolve the problem. I can understand that errors are made in the kitchen; I cannot understand how the management can be so indifferent to such errors. When the bill came we were charged for the Grouper. I would have demanded that the charge be removed but my partner implored me not to make a scene on our anniversary evening. I bit my tongue and paid the full bill. To add to my frustration my partner Institute that I tip a full 20 percent in order to support the “little people,” who were not responsible for the check’s incompetence. Cade Boulud is preying on customers who have money to burn but can’t distinguish between mediocre food and really good food. Cafe Boulud is a high-priced ripoff. Even the Breakers food is a better deal, and that’s a pretty low bar to clear.
Be the first to Replygreat food and atmosphere but a bit pricey
I went for my wifes birthday. The atmosphere and food were excellent but the service was only fair and I felt it was a bit pricey. If I am going to spend over $100 per person, I want to be WOWED! The Duck and Dover sole were excellent but the portions were a bit on the smaller side and it did not have the wow factor that I expect at this price. overall I would grade this as an. 8.5/10.
Be the first to ReplyExpected More
While the meal was good, not up to the standards I expect from a Daniel Boulud restaurant. Food and service fine enough... but have had such special meals at his places in New York, didn't feel that here. Service needs to be bumped up. I'm thinking breakfast may be the best meal to have here.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous Sunday breakfast in the Garden
The setting was elegant, the breakfast delicious and the staff charming. We will definitely go back.
Be the first to Replyunfortunately my last visit here
I often go to Cafe Boulud to eat. The last time I went with three other woman was pathetic. Three of them ordered a lobster roll which was half full and they were hungry after their meal. I've eaten lobster roll in many other places and Cafe BouIud should be ashamed to serve this skimpy portion I ordered a cheeseburger without bacon and their hot sauce on the roll. My burger came out well done with over cooked bacon and the sauce I asked them not to put on the roll. We mentioned these problem to the waitress but she said, Oh well, that's how the kitchen makes it." Unbelievable. She absolutely did not care to do anything about this. The manager called me later an offered me a "free' glass of champagne. This is on a $200. bill. I said no and then he offered me a free dessert. I don't want anything for free. I just wish then would do things the way they used to with class and perfection. There is no coming back from this. Goodbye Cafe Boulud. I'm sure I am not the first person to be finished with them. Much better in New York. Need better staff and chef's.
Be the first to ReplyMemorable Anniversary Dinner
We just celebrated our anniversary at Cafe Boulud. Simply put, this is world class cuisine. Everything was immaculate, decor, service, and cuisine. Although not totally a driving factor, our anniversary coincides with Palm Beach County Restaurant Month, so there was a benefit to be gained from ordering from it. All the selections came from other restaurants in the Boulud empire, none disappointed. We started with their take on Oysters Rockefeller, and Charred Octopus. For entrees, Bouillabaisse, and Sea Bass, desserts, freshly baked madeleines, and vanilla crème brûlée. In the words of Jacques Pepin, “Scrumptious “!
Be the first to ReplyMuscles in a terrible new sauce
The muscles are in a different sauce. I have been eating them for years and i don’t like this sauce. Just stick to your usual white wine sauce. It was the best. Other people have mentioned this change and agree with me. Your customers would appreciate this.
Be the first to ReplyOur best on the East Coast!
This was our third time dining here and it was one of our best dinners ever on the "East coast". Service is terrific, this time including a move due to rain. Champagne, cocktails, appetizers, entrees and dessert were all delightfully prepared and truly delicious. (Also We did not have any issue with the check.) Highly recommend.
Be the first to Replygreat food, wonderful ambience, service not what it should be
We were there for a Sunday Brunch. The setting was on the patio. It was a little noisy, but it was gorgeous. At the table next to us there was a standard poodle who, if I let him, would have eaten my brunch. The food was wonderful. The service was slow and inattentive. Customers with dogs should be seated at the edge of the setting, not immediately next to another diner.
Be the first to ReplyFood Good, Service Great, Billing is a Scam!
I frequently eat breakfast here and the outdoor seating is quintessential Palm Beach. The food is for the most part up to Daniel Boulud's high standard, and the service is always excellent. My complaint here is with the restaurant's billing. When I pay with a credit card they provide me a slip with a line for gratuity, and don't mention that a 20% gratuity is already included. This means that if my breakfast was $40, and they they give me credit card slip for $48 (with secret 20% inclusion) and I tip my usual 25% on that amount, for an additional $12 tip, it turns out I have been scammed into paying a 50% gratuity! I raised this issue a few months ago with a server and she brought the manager over who first said that the server should have said gratuity was included, and when I noted that she didn't, the manager then claimed that this scam is "what all the hotels in Palm Beach do." I have been there probably 8 times in past months and not once did a server note that gratuity was added. This practice is dishonest and not typical of PB hotels - Colony doesn't - and Four Seasons the servers are trained to say that tip is included. Bottom line is that I still go here for breakfast because I like the atmosphere and friendly servers, but I'm VERY disappointed that the restaurant engages in this dishonest billing practice.
