This place wasn't what I expected at all and I'm glad I reserved it for a happy hour occasion as opposed to a full blown get cute dinner. The interior id liken to a Yardhouse sort of feel, not very upscale like I expected from the pics. This could be because Gnats and small flies circled our table to the point of nonstop swatting we just had to leave. They were landing on our food and drinks and it was just terrible. We were sitting deep inside by the way. Server wasn't attentive at all we had to flag her down multiple times. Annoying. The drinks were really good I must say (and they'd better be with gin in the name lol) I had the Margaret (gin margarita) and mezcal Paloma which I really enjoyed both. We also made them spicy. Yuca fries were simple and overall a safe betTuna tostada - the quality of tuna wasn't the best and the dish had like no flavor it was like plastic. It could've used a drizzle of sauce or splash of lime or just something more. Provoleta I was excited for but it was terible. Good luck scooping the cheese onto the bread it was clumped together and good luck trying to cut the tomato as it kept sinking in the oil of the cheese. It had no flavor either despite how much green sauce I put on top. The best thing was the Korean cauliflower but I think at that point I was just hungry. It tasted like frozen cauliflower I could get in the target frozen section. Nothing too wowy about that I will not be returning here.

Great even! But when it came time to pay, the server sneakily included a 20% tip, which was coming naturally, but we realized that he was asking us to tip on top off that. Didn't bother telling him. I wanted to leave. Was pretty disappointed in that behavior. Very shady!! Turned me off completely to this place.

We have been coming to Botanico for over a year and love it every time.Great food at reasonable pieces. Great service. The best Happy Hour in the Grove 7 days a week!
Be the first to ReplyFavorite restaurant in Coconut Grove.
Delicious appetizers, salads, main dishes and drinks.
Be the first to ReplyWe celebrated some birthdays and went for happy hour.
Botánico has great happy hour options for cocktails and tapas. I had a Negroni and shared cauliflower wings, Provoleta, mussels, shrimp, sliders and tuna tartare. We brought our own birthday cake so didn't try the desserts this time. It's a really good deal for happy hour and the ambiance is very nice. Located in Cocowalk, ground floor; you can park on the street or in the parking garage. I'll go back in the near future and try it out for lunch or dinner.

This is my favorite Coconut Grove spot! They have an amazing drink selection and really yummy bites. I've come here a bunch of times and I've always experienced good service and great ambiance. The gin and tonic menu is insanely impressive! If you're a g&t fan you have to try this place out. I've come a few times for happy hour and it's so worth it! They have great menu items to choose from and drinks for nearly half off. I've come with friends to get some drinks before going out and I've also come with family for a nice dinner- so adaptable. The owners are always around and seem to be very hands on which is a great sign. If you follow them in Instagram, you can see when they have special events/ live music. 10/10 recommend. Good food, great drinks, and fun vibe. I wish it stayed opened a little later on the weekends.

Party of 4 Birthday Celebration 12/18 @ 2+pmRestaurant empty but for a few people at the bar and a few outdoor.Ordered 4 drinks - only Herradura Cadillac was memorable . The rest, meh ... , + 1 app+ 4 meals. When Michael the waiter brought out drinks followed by the appetizer- (we ordered everything at once). WE WERE EXTREMELY SPECIFIC with our order and , in unisons, we all stated - please, don't bring out the plates until we tell you (in case we wanted a 2nd drink) !!Well, request was ignored and all plates poured out on top of the unfinished appetizer and our 1st drink. So much for ordering a 2nd drink.- Ribeye ordered "medium rare" received well done... super thin steak for $54.00 the steak looked as if it had been butterflied and only 1 of 2 made it onto the plate. Very disappointing . Ugh!Ordered fries - no salt and it was loaded with salt. When we took it up with Michael he stared at the plate looking for the salt particles as if we were lying- very poor attitude.Needless to say we will not return .
Be the first to ReplyLoved the ambiance of this place and the location.
The waiter was a little slow even though it wasn't that busy but the service is quick. They have a seperate serverto brings out drinks and food. The salmon tartare was delicious but we needed more crostini bread. We were pleasantly surprised at the portion size of the salad! My husband was full. I had the octopus and it was delicious but it definitely doesn't feel like an entree because I was still hungry afterwards
Be the first to ReplyNice restaurant but probably will not be back.
Food: I had the lobster bisque soup which was a nice portion size, however it was extremely salty and only had one tiny piece of lobster in it. I also had the roasted chicken with fingerling potatoes which was very lightly seasoned and delicious BUT ...it was served in a very salty sauce that made the dish less enjoyable. Dessert was fantastic!Atmosphere: The restaurant and bar has a sophisticated and elegant decor. I loved the heavy wooden tables and large windows. They played good music and had good lighting. I did not like that in one part of the dining area they had wires hanging from the ceiling. It seemed unsafe.Service: The service was slow with only 2 tables but the server was friendly.
Be the first to ReplyNice restaurant with live music on Saturday afternoons.
The food we tried was tasty- including the mussels and tuna. The cocktails are pretty good, but the bar was packed so it was difficult to lounge and explore the menu.
Be the first to ReplyGo for happy hour!!! 4-7 every day.
I tried every food option on the happy hour menu (literally) and loved it. My favorites were the mussels, choripán, gambas al ajillo, and provoleta. Least favorite was the wagyu slider. Great selection of gin cocktails as well.

We stopped in her for a quick snack and happy hour drinks with our pups. They have a really nice happy hour menu of tapas and drinks for $8 each. The tuna tostadas were good and we also tried the provoleta and gambas al ajillo which were equally tasty. We would come back to try the extensive gin and tonic menu for sure. Plenty of outdoor seating in a side alley of Cocowalk made for a quiet retreat from the chaos!

We wanted to check out the renovated Cocowalk and we found this place afterwards in the first floor. The place is very nice. It's modern , well designed, open and bright. They have happy hour every day 4pm-7pm with a very good menu that includes snacks and classic cocktails for around $8. The cocktails were all good and the food was as well. I liked the choripán a lot and the sliders were very tasty. It would be good they chop the tuna for the tostada since it is very difficult to eat the tostada like that. We also ordered the arepas trio from the regular menu and they were delicious. The place filed up very fast and the vibe was lively even though it was early when we got there by Miami standards. The service was fast and courteous. We checked out the regular menu and it seemed kind of expensive for me. I would like to come back to try the signature cocktails though. We had a great time. I totally recommend this place for some early drinks and snacks if you are in the area.
Be the first to ReplyWe stopped by here for happy hour.
It was unusually crowded for an early evening drink at a restaraunt in Miami, but I can see why.The cocktails were all good. They are classic cocktails with a twist. My negroni was excellent. The beer on tap was a nice IPA and crisp and cold. I had a slider and the tuna tostadas. Everything was tasty and the service was great. Next time making reservations and coming for dinner.
Be the first to ReplyWent fie Happy Hour (4-7 PM).
Got there 6:20 PM. Drinks and bar bites $8.00. Very well priced. Sat at the bar. Alex bartender & Diego assistant very good. Think they need an extra hand to cope with demand. House gin very good (forgot brand name). Had a dirty martini, a gibson and a gin margarita. All three were perfect. For bites, had the mussels, tuna tostadas and the gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp/scampi). All three were perfect and very well seasoned and plenty for two people. One comment on the shrimp: I understand one of the owners is from Ecuador, I hardly recommend him asking his purveyors of shrimp for ecuadorian shrimp. The ones they served are bland. If they change the quality of the shrimp this dish would be amazing. Also, if you are going to have Old Fashions in the menu, PLEASE USE ONE SINGLE BIG ICE CUBE!!!!!! Other than that I would definitely return.
Be the first to ReplyOh no no no.
... Not good. We came in here while waiting for our table to be ready at Mister O1 nearby for drinks and apps. Highly disappointing. The Old Fashioned was not very good at all and was $17. Low quality. The shrimp ceviche, if you could even call it ceviche, was flavorless shrimp in a bath of olive oil. The arepa trio(not pictured) was decent at best but everything was so disappointing, especially with all the great places nearby. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

What a fantastic restaurant that was so easy to work with in customizing a menu and making everything so simple without added fees or minimums. The food was amazing. Everybody loved it. We had a wonderful time. Thank you SO much!
Be the first to ReplyWe've been meaning to come here since the Coral Gables
We've been meaning to come here since the Coral Gables Seafood festival where we tried their food. The owners seems very down to Earth and their cooking was great. We came early on a Tuesday night around 6:30, no reservations were needed. Happy hour was going on, 4 PM to 7 PM - available at bar and at tables. While we didn't get any of the cocktails available for happy hour (all $8), we did get the yuca fries which brought enough to share for 2-4 people. All tapas on happy hour were $8 and there was a variety. Most cocktails are around $18, we got the Bill Dog and Great Whale. If you are gin lovers this is definitely the place for you. The cocktails are large and definitely pack a punch. Now onto the appetizers. The yucca fries had a very good chipotle and cilantro garlic sauce. We also got the tuna tartare ($19) which was very good, definitely recommend. For dinner:- Grilled Spanish octopus ($31) - it was edible, but I've had better. The char on it was perfect but I felt like the texture was a bit rubbery and overall lacked flavor. The star of the dish was definitely the beet purée. Felt like it was overpriced for what you got. - Jumbo sea scallops ($37) - delicious, tender, served with a savory lemon-ginger butter cream sauce on top of asparagus. Definitely worth a try and the reason why I rated 4 instead of 3 stars. Overall, it was a good experience and definitely planning to come back to try their happy hour and have more scallops. Our waiter, Michael, was very attentive and gave 5 star service.

This is a nice restaurant in the middle of the Grove that has all kinds of gin. On this occasion, we were celebrating a birthday. Our server, Gustavo, took great care of our group. I have to say I did enjoy the gin cocktails, especially the martinis, and the food was good but not the highlight of my night. I ordered the filet mignon which came with cognac sauce and potatoes. The amount of sauce was good but it would've been nice to have a little bit more potatoes. The steak was cooked medium rare but there was something missing... For dessert, I chose the chocolate cake with dulce de leche. Good portion to share.Overall, it was a good night with friends.
Be the first to ReplyWent for a business outing, set up is weird.
When is full they sit you out by the hallway of the mini mall, everyone passing by looking at what you eat. Makes you feel like pastry hot box. Drink and food were good overall.

Great mishas cupcakes dessert called gin and tonic cake.

Good is good but the menu isn't anything special. Best part service and bar staff. Greatest drinks I've had in a while

The espresso martini is amazing! It's not on the menu but it's the fluffiest, most decadent drink! I also had the shrimp lollipops, goat cheese dip and the Botanico salad with tuna.
