Food: 5* Service; 5* Ambience: 4* Prices: 2* During a conference I had the opportunity to eat here. I had the petite filet, scallops, decadent chocolate cakes, and sweet jalapeño butter. The filet was perfect, tender, juicy, well seasoned and the perfect temperature. The scallops were juicy, ample, and tasty. I understand they fly them in every other day from Nova Scotia. Delirious. Ambience is old world steak house. It was nice but a little dated. You get what you pay for here. So, if you want to splurge, you won't be sorry.

I was there a few days ago to grab a drink and a quick bite before a show. The bar is open seating so we had no issue finding a table. There was no space at the bar but they have a cute sitting section inside and a beautiful courtyard. We opted to sit outside and it was quite lovely. Service was quick and friendly, our drinks were fabulous and the charcuterie board was exactly what we needed. Overall it was a great experience, and I will definitely go back to try more menu items.
A perfect meal in pleasant surroundings
We booked a table here for my birthday. The restaurant is located on the first floor, which could be reached via the elevator. We ordered (among other things) the rib-eye: wonderfully tender and very tasty. The sauces, which are ordered separately, paired perfectly with the meat. The potato au gratin also contained a multitude of beautifully balanced flavors. The meal was rounded off with a Crême Brulee. The service was attentive and contributed to a pleasant meal.

This restaurant is perfection!!! My new favorite restaurant downtown hands down!! From the moment my party and ai stepped out of the vehicle, onto the curb, we were meant with hospitality and the evening just kept getting better. Yes, this establishment had a high price tag associated but I believe you 100% get what you pay for here. The upstairs is for groups and the downstairs is for singles and doubles and had a more social-networking vibe. Steaks cooked to perfection, sides were awesome, recommendations were great and enhanced the experience, desserts really capped the meal well. We were celebrating our anniversary and believe we found our new annual go-to.

I can honestly say, and it's a big statement as I'm a good snob, this was the best meal I ever had in my life. Two reasons, the food was above and beyond. Snapper delicious, sides over the top and the banquet manager. Steven Fox, can run a group dining experience like a fine conductor. I was with a group of artists from the local museum and we all agreed he was a total pro. I mean I've never seen anyone command and run a dining experience like this. I want to return! I asked for his card because I wanted to make sure to leave a review of both him and this fine restaurant. Bravo bravo.
Have to eat here if in Downtown San Antonio.
I love finding these local, non chain, restaurants when I travel. This place is a gem with top notch service and eats. Takes you back to the old prohibition days, with a great menu and drink/wine list. The steak was perfect, the snapper, perfect, the server, perfect. Just a great night and when in San Antonio, skip the chains and make this a must.

Such a wonderful evening to celebrate our anniversary together. Thank you Bohanan's, sincerely for making our dining experience so memorable. We will absolutely be back! The cuisine top tier, however it was the world class dining experience that truly caught our attention from moment walked in to the moment we retrieved our vehicle from the valet. All around we were continually congratulated on our anniversary and greeted by name. It's no surprise this is a staple in the San Antonio fine dining scene.

My sweet husband brought me to Bohanan's for a celebration, and it did not disappoint. After a delightful visit to the bar, we went upstairs for a delicious dinner. I'd forgotten their complimentary cream cheese candied jalapeno appetizer! Yummy wedge (abundant bacon!). My macadamia-crusted red snapper with orange butter sauce was --- well, I could just wax rhapsodic over it. Not a fan of the accompanying odd sliced baby bok choy (I think?) on the plate. He loved his steak, though parts were a bit too rare. (That seems to be a common theme these days... why?) We definitely did not like the Creamed Spinach. If you're expecting a savory rich spinach dish with a crust, this is not that. It is basically spinach with cream. Very little taste. Still, one of our favorite places to eat. We do wish other diners treated this like the fine dining establishment it is and dressed accordingly.

We had the cutest hostess ever!! She was so friendly and actually pulled the table out for us!! She cane bye during our evening to check on us!! Food was so good I was amazed!! You've hit too try the mac n cheese!! Lol ❤️ Everyone that works there is so professional you feel like you're a star! We actually saw a couple!! We will definitely keep going back!!

Our visit was a memorable experience.
We dined for our anniversary. All of the staff greeted as us we entered. We enjoyed every drink and food item that we had including the complimentary champagne and cream cheese with house made candied jalapeños. We started with the crab cake. It was delicious. We then split a ribeye and the goat cheese mashed potatoes. We finished the meal off with a crème brûlée.

I ordered a rare steak it came out perfect and also had lobster cream corn. Then for dessert for my birthday we had banana foster. This husband got me a shot tequila it cost $35 but it goes down real smooth

An Expensive Disappointment
While the reviews on social media are positive, that was not our experience last night. The times are not exact but they’re close enough to paint an accurate picture. Our party of four arrived at 8:05 for our 8:00 reservation and we were seated promptly. Multiple people were helping our table. We ordered drinks right away but they didn’t arrive until 9:00. That pushed the rest of the dinner back and we didn’t finish until 11:30. The food was all incredibly delicious and the atmosphere and vibe were great. The servers were professional but they were significantly understaffed for last night’s crowd. One server admitted she forgot to place our initial drink order. While I appreciated her honesty, this compounded the problems. I chose not to withhold on the tip since the servers were professional but there just weren’t enough of them. And it’s not their responsibility to staff for the crowd (and how could you not expect a large crowd with the Seinfeld show across the street at The Majestic). But it’s also not our responsibility or fault. Ultimately, the total was $800, 25% tip included, for the four of us and we didn’t have an $800 experience.
Hugely disappointing - both food and service
Hugely disappointing! Hadn't been in several months and decided to return - wish we hadn't. The steak was expensive and was undercooked. But the cut of meat was terrible with gristle running from one end to the other. It was not edible. It was also undercooked and under seasoned. Garlic potatoes looked like grits, had a similar consistency, and again underflavored - perhaps a hint of garlic but not flavorful. They were busy with an event across the street at the Majestic, but the service was frankly - poor - slow and not responsive. Had to ask for a refill of iced tea three times. Pace between courses was glacial. Pretty much any large-chain steakhouse would have been better.
Best restaurant in SA
We live in San Antonio and this is one of the best restaurants in San Antonio. In spite of the downtown congestion and Majestic traffic jam, it’s worth the drive downtown. The ambiance can’t be beat…classy and elegant. My steak was perfect as well as the truffle steak fries. Our waiter Rick B handled my food allergies without any issues. He made constant trips to the kitchen to check ingredients. He was extremely conscientious! Thank you to Patrick, Rick B and the chef that took care of my fab and safe meal!!
A pricy but nice fine dining venue with a little annoying price gouging.
We eat at pricy fine dining restaurants around the world and Bohanan’s certainly is in that category. Even though we had two servers for our table of four, service was a little spotty. It took longer than expected to place our meal order. The meal started with a complimentary appetizer of cream cheese with pickled jalapenos you spread on a cracker. Excellent! Our entrée selection was the Chateaubriand for two at $130 but it was well worth it. Excellent cut of good quality tenderloin served perfectly medium-rare with potatoes, asparagus and carrots. Banana’s foster made at the table was $30, a little pricey but o.k. My beef was with our drinks. An old fashioned, 2 straight up martinis and a beer cost $74.00. The Bombay Saphhire Martinis were VERY small but cost $22.00 each. Way overpriced. Finally, a cup of coffee after dinner was $7.95. Also way overpriced for coffee that tasted pretty bad. Our group of 4 dropped over $750 on this meal including gratuity and while it had some high points the several overpriced items mentioned marred the experience.

Made reservations a few days in advance. Promptly seated. From cocktails to appetizers to the main course and dessert no complaints. Food and service was great. The steak and seafood prices are high. Worth it in my opinion. Will definitely go back next time in San Antonio!

This place is a 10/10 spot for a special occasions. My girlfriend and I went for her birthday dinner. The ambiance is amazing and the food, as well as the service is just as good. Our server Marcus was very attentive and informative, truly a gem!

Very delicious breakfast and beautiful decor. The Huevo Rancheros was amazing. Staff and service was excellent. Will definitely be coming back on our next trip to San Antonio.

This dinner was absolutely fantastic. Nothing short of perfect. The service, food, atmosphere were superb. The price was very high, however, you get what you pay for and it was worth every penny.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
