Great food and service
We meet friends here for lunch. We were seated quickly and our server was quick to take our beverage order. We were given time to look over the menu and when our beverages were served she took our food order. Our food was tasty and large portions, will return again

Food was poor. We had the fishermen's Feast - fairly tasteless except for the clams they were nasty. Tarter sauce tasted of onion. Music too loud. Our server was really good!
Be the first to ReplyWe had decent service but the food was not great. We were at the Sherwood Park location
First time there , 6 of us celebrating a birthday. Had a reservation that was great. Food was not , four of us did not enjoy our dinner. Scallops were very bland no taste , Pictou county pizza was dry not enough sauce, the Philly cheese steak poutine had way to much gravy was not good , cheese curds were cold Waitress did not mention the Hali hour or talk about what was offered . We left about 10 on a Friday night . Waitress gave us $25 certificate that we can use next time , they were expired Jan 2023 .

atmosphere is ok but not the same as Halifax service was friendly a little slow beers were cold but slow on refills food was very tasty my wife loved the Donairs ,we had fried pepperoni perfect the Kieths batter with the fish was very good .I had clams for the first time at the new B&G in Sherwood park small clams more like strips not many full clams small order for a large price ,I had clams a the Windermere location they were over cooked last time there ,but had them before they raised the prices they were okay but still a small order for the prices .We will stick to the other menu items for the future when we visit B&G
Be the first to ReplyLobster dinner - so good
Made reservations at the Windermere B & G for the lobster dinner. I have eaten here before but it wasn’t their lobster feast. You had to pre-order this meal and were assigned a dining time. All went off without a hitch. I didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by my meal. It included a 1.5 - 2 lb lobster, four large shrimp, a mussel, some redskin potatoes, slices of a wonder sausage and two pieces of cheese bread. There was no shortage of food and all of it tasted great. My wife is not a lobster fan so she had a burrito, which she really enjoyed. It was a “win - win”.
Be the first to ReplyNo understanding of “reservation” at Windermere location
A friend and I had a Friday evening reservation for two, and were led to a tiny high top table in the bar, surrounded by people. We asked for a normal table and were told that tables were only for people with reservations. We reminded the hostess that we did have a reservation, and she replied that if we had wanted a table, we needed to specify in the reservation. We asked to be moved to a real table and were told we’d have to join the 1 hour wait. I was reminded of the Seinfeld episode where the car rental gives away Jerry’s reservation, and he says, “you know how to take the reservation, you just don’t know how to hold the reservation.” We left.

Being from Halifax I was very familiar with most of the fare they offered. My Wife had their 2 piece halibut and chips with Halibut and gravy. She commented it was the best she had ever had. I had a large Halifax Donair and boy was it good. I closed My eyes and pictured being at some Of my Favorite NS establishments. They also offer Brothers Pepperoni in many dishes
Be the first to ReplySeated at table for 20 minutes without any communication
Three of us attempted to go to Blowers and Grafton for dinner on a Wednesday night. We arrived around 5:45 and were seated immediately despite not having a reservation. Unfortunately, we then sat at our table for 20 minutes without anybody coming to take our orders or even let us know there would be a delay. Although the restaurant did not appear to be busy, I understand that often places are short staffed and require a bit of additional wait time. This would not have been a problem if we were informed of this but tables around us were served while the wait staff ignored us as we tried to get their attention. Ultimately we ended up leaving after 20 minutes. The food looked delicious but due to the poor service we were unable to try it.
Be the first to ReplyNothing Special
Finally made it here for lunch (12:30pm), on a sunny Thursday in June. The patio tables were all taken of course but the thoughts of sitting in Whyte Avenue traffic didn't really appeal to us anyway so inside dining was fine. The place was not that busy but the sign said "please wait to be seated", so we stood there for about 5 minutes before the server finally walked by and said "seat yourself anywhere you want". That was a waste of 5 minutes! After sitting down, she walked by us 3 or 4 times before the bartender finally felt bad enough for us and came over to give us some menus. That's when we realized they only had 1 server and a bartender looking after the entire place! Anyway, after that initial fiasco, the service from the young bartender was good. Not great because he was so busy with drinks but he did his best. Now the food. My partner had fish and fries. The fries were good but the fish was kind of mushy. Not flaky. I had the Clam poor boy sandwich and fries and like my partners lunch, the fries were good but the sandwich had very little taste to it. The fried clams in the sandwich were so tough and chewy that I couldn't eat them. I tried to but eventually just had to spit them out. I think that usually means they are over cooked. Either way, it was not a good experience for either of us. I grew up in Nova Scotia and this was not a good representation of east coast food. From our experience I would say don't expect anything special.

There was a group of 6 of us - we all had excellent suppers and cocktails. Draft beers were very good also. Service was good. Very busy place, clearly popular.
