Great food delivered in a less than slick manner.
Such a mixed experience. Really nice venue, decor spot on. Food quality was great, some very interesting dishes, and quality ingredients. I am not a fan of the idea you get a dish when the kitchen feels like cooking it, but we knew that up front so I can't complain about that. However, we had food on the table before we even got our aperitifs, cocktails come before food, that is just simple restaurant etiquette or perhaps that's thing of the past? On the subject of drinks after our initial drinks order was taken no one offered or seemed interested in offering us anything further. One of our servers was great, some of the servers not so, people still eating while doing a final clear of the table. We had a drinks spill and one of the servers was being really helpful while were tidying up, another just kept trying to put down more dishes. None of it the end of the world, but if the whole package met the quality of the food, then it would have been a much better experience

A lovely modern setting, off the vibrant Oxford Street at Tottenham Court Road. Beautiful food, with generous portions, very friendly and efficient service. On arriving, the music seems a bit loud ( I was first, on my own) but once your group arrives, it blends to the background. Would recommend as pre- theatre spot, friends night out or couples wanting a fun but maybe not a romantic night out. We had a fabulous time - thank you! xxx

Lovely food, good for sharing with big group of friends. We ordered around 20 tapas to share among 8 people, appropriate portion and delicious as well.

Badal was lovely. We were served a lovely breakfast with excellent and quick service. Everything was clean and the environment was welcoming, especially by Badal

Really good. Probably 5 stars. Great prawns. Beef was fantastic. As was the chicken. Pre theater deal is brilliant. As was the pudding yogurt cheesecake. Blow i have to give it five stars
Be the first to ReplyReally brilliant food and service
Our first time at Bloomsbury Street Kitchen and everything we ate was fantastic (the best chicken-that-isnโt-actually-chicken that Iโve ever had). Great atmosphere too and Crizal was a delight! Looking forward to eating again here soon ๐๐ป
Be the first to ReplyGreat food but awful service (a real shame)
Celebrated a recent engagement with a table of 7 on Friday 3rd March. The food here is great - I canโt fault that. However, the service was shocking. Iโm not sure if they were understaffed or what the problem wasโฆ but the whole service team looked like they hated being there. I appreciate they were busy (that was an excuse given by the waitress) - but being a central London restaurant on a Friday night, you expect it and you manage it in the best way you can. Be transparent that youโre understaffed, make it light-hearted, stop frowning whenever we ask for a menu or some more drinks, be slightly apologetic when things take longer or go wrong or you make a mistakeโฆ unfortunately, there was just no care taken at all. The serving staff took out frustrations on the customers. I was looking around and it was chaos! No staff assigned to specific tables, everyone trying so hard to get attention from the service staff - one of our waiters even said โI donโt know what you ordered. I donโt know what my other colleagues didโ. Iโm not sure why that is a problem the customer should be punished for - do we need to help you coordinate? As I said the food is great here - but donโt come when itโs busy. 40 minutes late sitting us down for our booking, didnโt offer to take drinks orders at the bar or at the table when we were sat down, 3 attempts to get all our drinks correctly served, 5+ attempts to get food and dessert menus and just a lot of unnecessary hostility. When you go out for a meal, you just donโt expect to have to spend so much effort with every single interaction. Unfortunately the Bloomsbury Street Kitchen failed this time.

Badal give us a great service in the kitchen. ๐๐ She was so nice, so quick bringing our dishesโฆ, and also so profesional doing her job.
Be the first to ReplyLovely Hotel, highly recommended.
I came here with my mother for a couple of days to visit London. The hotel has ana amazing location, it is central and the food (breakfast) was delicious. There are many options like healthy protein smoothies, eggs and much more. The rooms are cute, good for a short stay and I loved the atmosphere. The hotel stuff and waitresses were super friendly and they also gave me a little birthday present for breakfast. So I would love to come here again, definitely! :-)

Be the first to ReplyAmazing service and food
We had a lovely breakfast at Bloomsbury Street Kitchen before visiting the British Museum. The Mediterranean Eggs were our favorite menu! Pairs wonderfully with bread๐คคNurgy, our waiter, was such a sweetheart. Had an amazing time there thanks to him!
Be the first to ReplyGreat restaurant, but the staff has a lot to learn still.
The food was okay, granted we only ate one night. I had the Bincho Grill, and despite me not saying anything I should've said something, the chicken was half white half pink. Which resulted to stomach ache with me and I had to take a pill for that. (I didn't say anything because we were otherwise going to run late for a theater show). The salmon that my company had looked good and tasted good. Again, the chicken didn't. Now, why does the staff have still stuff to learn? For that we have to go to breakfast time for the example. As we were still enjoying breakfast (multiple times over the weekend) I noticed something. I would still have something on my plate, like a piece of bread or a knife (still to use), but I was resting before I continued to eat. Now, what did the kind staff member H. Do? Take away my plate, knife, spoon and fork. Did I look like I was finished, maybe, but I wasn't. And if you say "You should've said something!". I say true to that, BUT before one can even react he already took it away (not only him though) and left us with nothing. For the food, I recommend it though, for the staff, they still have hotel etiquette to learn DESPITE being connected or part of the 4-star hotel.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Venue and Food Sensible Priced.
Every dish we were served tonight was exceptional. The service is attentive but not over the top. The venue is good with tables well spaced . Thank you we will be back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Dining Experience and Service
We chose Bloomsbury Street Kitchen in central London to celebrate my university graduation. The menu offered a variety of dishes, which all tasted amazing. While Japanese-Mediterranean seemed like an odd combination at first, the concept of sharing sides and mains showed that the flavours complemented each other very well. The service was very friendly. If you are looking for a lovely restaurant with good food options, I can strongly recommend coming to the Bloomsbury Street Kitchen.

Thank you Enrica for your kindness and service today. Great staff experience. You were so accommodating of our young family. Thank you Bloomsbury Street Kitchen.
Be the first to ReplyNice food - Great Service!
Visited here before a theatre show. The food was very tasty and the service was brilliant. Cocktails are nice as well
Be the first to ReplyLovely dining experience
Really enjoyed the experience and service was attentive and friendly. Food delicious although they could probably go a little easier on the chilli flakes which seemed to be on most dishes! Liked it so much though I have booked again to make the most of their 50% off deal. I don't think it would be in my budget to come here regularly when it's full price but I would like to return for just drinks in the bar area at some point - looked lovely.

Having read the menu I was SO looking forward to eating at this restaurant.
We booked a table and arrived....however the music volume was so loud that I knew I would not enjoy what ever was placed before me.
did ask for the volume to be turned down unfortunately I was informed that it was 'company policy' that it be set at the volume it was.
We left without eating.
Please note, it was not the music I was upset with but the volume at which it was played.
Tasting experience = bad experience
Caos of unexperienced waiters that are not capable of presenting the food or papir the right wines to the food. Food is ok, but below expectataions at this price level. Note if you order the wine and coctail package for the Japaneese tasting menu, you will get only sake.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food and great service
Absolutely delicious food and great service. It wasnโt possible to book a table in the restaurant on this particular evening as it had been taken over by a large party but I was, instead, made very comfortable in the bar with the full restaurant menu. It didnโt detract from the evening at all - I felt very comfortable and completely unrushed. Not a cheap evening but a definite treat.
Be the first to ReplySooooo good
First a big thank you to Mohammed, Valentina and Eduardo for the attentive and very efficient service.
We chose our food from the set menu- and - it was amazing- I always expect the food at any of the Raddison Edwardian kitchens to be good but this was a bit special- Carpaccio for starters - delicious- buttered cod for main even better and white chocolate and yoghurt cheesecake with charcoal sorbet ( do not be put off because itโs black it is yummy) for dessert. I would order all of the above again and again. Thank you again Bloomsbury Street Kitchen I cannot wait to visit you again.
Very cool/chic ambience and forthcoming staff
Had an exceptional stay and dinner. Our waiter, Eduardo, welcomed us with great hospitality and exquisite service. 10/10 recommend. Get the carpaccio it will blow your mind.

I havenโt been here for a long time, had my 22nd celebration birthday dinner party hereโฆ I had an amazing time. Was so shocked to see so many new staff, they were nice and welcoming, Giulia was amazing , she was checking on our food most of the time but the rest of staff havenโt. I do believe if was because it was their first day(maybe they are commis) .The drinks was taking a bit long but Iโm sure after being under staffed this restaurant is gonna make it back to #8 (as i was here last time) they are taking the most qualified people and after just reopening they are gonna be number 1 soon x especially with Federica and Valentina checking if the food quality and drinks are alright x
Over all I think I mentioned everything, the new staff is gonna bring amazing opportunity again and the old staff keep your amazing work up still x
Canโt wait to see you soon and have the best food
Disappointing for a 4.5* restaurant on Tripadvisor
We booked a private party on a Wed night. We had to pre-order our 'main course' due to the size of the party (N=18). No other restaurants describe their tapas or sharing plates as 'main courses' except BSK. Well, the size of the main course wasn't what everyone thought it would be. Everyone pushed aside the 'mains' on their plate to make room for what was to come. But nothing ever did! We weren't warned "you'd better order something else to go with your "main course". Okay, it's central London we are paying the premium for the location but.....What about managing expectation?? BSK pride themselves on concept fusion food - Peruvian Japanese. My experience of those is far better in LA and Rio. My vegan mushroom dish was passable. Despite the size of the group, there was one staff taking payment with one card machine which took 15 mins. We gave the restaurant our feedback but were told it was a private party so they didn't have enough staff. We struggled to understand the logic. Private party = you lay on the right amount of staff accordingly, no??
It was a special occasion. Such a shame it blighted our evening.
Amazing!!
Amazing food. Visited with my wife and a friend and we had a wonderful time. No classic one-dish-per-person restaurant, but you are able to choose as many things as you like and everyone shares.
Atmosphere was great, and our waiter Edoardo was very friendly.
10/10 one of the best place I've ever visited!
