Had a reservation for 9:45pm.
They cancelled as we walked up saying "kitchen closed at 9:00pm." Maybe update your own booking platform? Just a suggestion. 0 stars.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible food, remarkable service.
Everything you'd expect from a Michelin star restaurant. We will be back for sure!

Sorry but not holding up - the Cassoulet is tired - BENOIT NYC is surprisingly better - staff lovely here - some dishes quite good but CASSOULET in Paris? Try a bit more?
Be the first to ReplyGreat inside, beautifully decorated.
Food was pretty great and uniquely made! Service was also very wonderful. Everyone was super nice!

This restaurant has a Michellin star so it has the excellent service you'd expect. You will need to reserve a spot - I don't think they were accepting walkins (on the weekday lunch I went to). I got their lunch special, which had a starter main and dessert for just 42 euros. I definitely thought this was an excellent value. The food was very tasty and had excellent traditional French food options. The restaurant itself is also very cute - it is decorated very well and it's a great ambiance for a nice relaxing meal. I would highly recommend the lunch special for anyone who wants a good meal at a reasonable price.
Be the first to ReplyMichelin starred Alain Ducasse restaurant, so when in
Michelin starred Alain Ducasse restaurant, so when in Paris, you have to try. Food was classic french bistro. Honestly, a little underwhelming in comparison to other highly rated fresh bistros, particularly when you compare against Michelin star places (at least compared to 1 Star Michelins in DC and NYC). Service was slow compared to other "higher end" french bistros in Paris. The escargot was way too hot and burnt, so the flavor died out. Steak was great actually. Price was pretty good to be honest. So decent value.
Be the first to ReplyHonestly such a meh experience.
The restaurant is cute, very traditional French. They offer an extensive wine list and their sommelier is really knowledgeable/helpful. The food itself was just ok - the escargot was good, but nothing special. Same goes for the fish of the day for 2 (it was sea bass). The dessert that was recommended by our waiter was dry, bland, and left a lot to be desired. The ladies room was out of toilet paper - not acceptable for a Michelin. All in all, we visited several fantastic restaurants in Paris, we'd skip this one next time.
Be the first to ReplyHad a lovely time here.
Service was great and everyone was super attentive. I asked for recs and was recommended to try the black pudding, which I've never had before. It was pretty delicious and definitely unexpected. It was super crispy on the outside, which I loved and went well with the mashed. My only complaint would be if took a little while for the main course to come out. Other than that, I thought the food tasted great and service was good.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing dinner.
.. escargot was delicious as was the cassoulet!! Service was excellent! Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyWent here on the recommendation of a friend.
Were not disappointed. Classic French bistro. 1 Michelin star. Been around since 1912 and now owned by Alain Ducasse. What more could you want? You should know that it is classic in every way, you go in knowing those are the dishes they'll serve. We had cassoulet and black pudding as entrees. Delicious. Waiter could not have been more accommodating and lively. If you are looking for a classic French bistro, this probably one of the best in all of Paris. Not even sure why I'm giving only 4 stars, would def give 4.5 if I could.
Be the first to ReplySeriously? Why such low rating? Benoit is here since 1912,
Seriously? Why such low rating? Benoit is here since 1912, then acquired and managed by Alain Ducasse since 2022 and boasts a one Michelin star. This is a quintessential French bistro and I guess if you don't like classic French fare, you should not come here. We LOVED this place. Great food, great service, and reasonable price for a Michelin Starred restaurant! The total bill was 147 Euro (for 3 people) which's so much cheaper than dining at a mediocre restaurant in Phoenix, AZ! When we dined here, the restaurant was full, and all the diners were French which says a lot about the place. They were either on their business lunch or lunch with friends. Their lunch menu is pretty easy. You can choose a two item menu for 32 euro or a three item menu for 42 euro from Starter, Main, and Dessert. You choose one from each section depending on which option you choose. There were three of us and we did two item menus. Two of us chose to do Starter & Main, and one of us did Main and Dessert. Plus we ordered an extra dessert, because you can't just share the one dessert! My hubby ordered a carafe of Gigondas which was so lovely. Everything we ordered was excellent and served promptly. The maitre d was our server, perhaps they were short handed that day, but still the service was excellent and I have no complaints. He prepared the crepe Suzette table-side, and it was delicious! Unlike someone mentioned in one of the reviews, their madeleines were NOT limp. It was perfectly warm, crispy outside, and moist inside. We also got a plate of sweets with our bill. Highly recommend this place!
Be the first to ReplyGood, not great.
Not sure why this place is a Michelin star restaurant. Ordered 6 pieces of escargot as an appetizer and 3 of them were empty... just seasoning inside. Overall the food was very average in comparison to the places around it and I'm unsure why this place has a star, but not bad overall.
Be the first to ReplyParty of 4, looked to be first seating.
I gave it 2 stars because it was accommodating to a gluten free member of my party, and some of the food was very good (the sweetbreads and the half calves head). The steak was probably just as good as you could do at home. The wine was very reasonably priced, which was a plus, but I can't give it 2.5 stars. I'm dinging it for two reasons: First, it was very cramped, there was barely room to get out between tables and the next table over may as well have been the same table we were at. 4 big people at a table would not have worked. The second reason was the service - the waiter was friendly but we waited 15 minutes for our plates to be cleared, which was annoying because he was in and out of the room 10 times during that period, and another 15 minutes for him to get us the check - same thing, it takes 30 seconds to scan a bill and tap a card, but evidently everybody else took priority - while we sat and roasted in the non AC room staring at each other for 15 mins. Two of our party finally got up and left. And 300E for 4 people and 1 bottle of wine, no other drinks and no dessert. Nearly 60E for an 8 oz steak. Strangers sitting on top of you in a hot little room. Definitely not what we expected for a Michelin star restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyHaving eaten at a number of Michelin starred
Having eaten at a number of Michelin starred establishments, I can honestly say this was the first one to really disappoint. Food was serviceable, and since this is a bistro themed restaurant, it is not meant to be inventive. Nothing was outstanding, however. Service was nothing better than poor. Wine glasses were not refilled. Water glasses were not refilled. Waiters were consistently absent. Do not recommend.
Be the first to ReplySuper cute and authentic Michelin star restaurant located
Super cute and authentic Michelin star restaurant located in the heart of Paris. Generous portions and very affordable compared to other restaurants of Michelin caliber. Service was very attentive and the dinning is more of an experience than for the idea of food consumption. The dessert that I chose - the millefeuille- is incredible! Reservations needed!
Be the first to ReplyWe love Paris and especially the food.
We have Spent a lot of time here and especially enjoy an occasional Michelin-star treatOn Sunday, we tried Benoit. Sadly, it was disappointing on several levels. This started with the condescending and rude server who refused to let me order the daily special ("it is too special for you, monsieur" and then judged my wine to be poorly chosen as well (too special for you)He was utterly humorless and coldA poor experience for sure The food itself was unspectacular and certainly not worth the 2x premiumLastly, the food was served much too quickly. No time to savor the taste or our time together We are not likely to return
Be the first to ReplyHonestly really unimpressed for the price of this place.
Was really a weird uncomfortable vibe from the staff too like haughty but the food wasn't even good and the server only recommended me like 6 different bottles of wine that were $150 - 300 and said vague things about them? Really didn't even listen to what I said I liked when he asked. I was bewildered and just ended up getting a bottle of what they have by the glass and it was very good and more like $75.... They have bottles that are $46 on the menu it's not like??? It's that kind of place?? That actually kind of sums up our whole experience though, I felt uncomfortable and like I was trying to be quiet and on my best behavior just for some sub par escargot and I can't even remember the entree I got. Not nearly of the caliber the people working there want to pretend it is. I would not go back or suggest to anyone.

Our meal at Benoit was like opening your gifts on Christmas morning: you have high expectations and they are met and exceeded. From the amuse bouche through three courses and then a second, post-dessert amuse bouche, it was like a bottomless Christmas stocking. We had foie gras, cod confit, profiteroles with chocolate by Alain Ducasse. Excellent wine pairings and charming staff. A gem of a restaurant amid two dozen other cafes in a very busy and touristy spot. Would eat here again.
Be the first to ReplyI love Benoit -- the decor, the vibe, the food.
They have my favorite dessert in the world. We have been here many times and we always leave happy!
Be the first to ReplyI was so excited to be at Benoit and incredibly
I was so excited to be at Benoit and incredibly disappointed in my meal. I ordered the salmon and when I used my fork to cut into it, the salmon turned to paste under my fork. The Bearnaise sauce was served in a little container for pouring, but I could turn that container completely upside down and not a drop of sauce would come out. The sauce was thick, tasteless, and should never have been served. I was extremely disappointed and unlikely to return.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a wonderful experience.
The staff was accommodating, helpful, and friendly. As an example, one of my sons wanted to try snails for the first time. When served he had no idea how to eat them. Noticing this, one of the servers immediately jumped in with a smile on his face, showed how it was done. It sure broke the assumption that Parisians are rude with major attitude. Top it off with amazing food made from scratch - you will have an amazing meal and an experience to remember.

Be the first to ReplyToday we brought guests to the restaurant where we thought
Today we brought guests to the restaurant where we thought we would have a special Paris lunch. However, we were greeted with- you don't have a reservation, which clearly we did, than a few minutes later -oh your reservation was cancelled-which it was not. Once it was established that there would be room for us to entertain our friends there was a coldness from the host. We were looking forward to entertaining our dear friends who live in Paris. They are always so hospitable to us so we planned this lunch to reciprocate for all their kindness and hospitality.I can not fault the food however the service and hospitality was lacking. In Paris we know that the check should not be given until requested but in this case ours was put on the table before we were even asked about dessert. We enjoyed our friends but the lunch and service did not live up to our expectations.

Ehhhhhh I had much higher expectations since this has a Michelin star. Important note, for my husband this was a 4 star experience. 3 for me. After We were seated we were brought these cheesy puff pastry ball things and they were delicious. I could have eaten them all night. I started with the vegetarian appetizer, since many of the other dishes had items I am allergic to. It was so yummy. I wish that could have been a main dish, I would have left very pleased. For dinner I ordered venison medium-rare. It came out very very rare. I couldn't eat it the texture was just raw. My husband didn't care, we traded dishes and he loved the cook on the venison. I had his beef and it was the medium rare I wanted. It was tasty, but I wasn't blown away by it. It was just okay. Definitely not Michelin quality I'm used to. We each had a couple of glasses of wine, I wanted white and he red, so we didn't get a bottle. The white I got was very yummy and paired well with both meats. After dinner we decided to not get dessert but they still brought us homemade marshmallows, chocolate, and Madeline's. They were yummy. Overall, I don't think I would return, so much of the menu I couldn't have because of my allergy, and then I didn't love the execution on most of what I had.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was divine.
I had the lunch special, with soup, salmon en croute, and a citrus tart. Portions were large. The only thing that bothered me was that the server didn't know much about the wine, and when I asked a question, she loudly mocked me (it turns out that I was correct). She said the sommelier would come over - he was about 10 feet away, and he never did. If it weren't for the actions of the server, I would give it 5 stars.
