Fantastic service and food! They have it down pat. Great for families with fun music and delicious food. They were super helpful at every turn whether making or modifying reservation and bringing a fun music speaker for the rides up/back.

An adventure and experience not to be missed. Food is good, drinks are good, ambience is great. Ride up was spectacular seeing the stars, moon, listening to the other riders who perhaps don't know what to expect of the experience, watching for animals, etc. However, the peaceful quiet ride down I have always loved was interjected with loud Spotify music from the staffs personal phone for the "benefit" of the riders even after he was asked to turn it off, it stayed on. What a disappointment for an otherwise outstanding evening.
Be the first to ReplyF IS FOR - FRAUD & FOOD POISONING (Dec 12th, 2023)
On December 12th I suffered food poisoning from the food at Beanos cabin. On December 13th while set to depart the Ritz, we had to extend our stay by one night due to my constant diarrhea On December 14th my wife emailed Ben Christie the GM to inform him of this experience On December 21st after not hearing anything we replied to the email On December 22nd we heard from James Gail of Beaver Creek with a list of questions On December 22nd, hours later we got back to this email with answers On December 31st after not hearing anything back after emailing 3 times, we submitted a charge back On January 1st, Beanos accepted the chargeback & closed the dispute On January 11th Beanos MANUALLY ENTERED my credit card information UNAUTHORIZED, WITHOUT APPROVAL and charged it. (FRAUD) 1. Beanos stores credit card information insecurely and without proper data storage protections 2. This is a fraudulent charge and will be reported as such 3. You charged us $80 for a kids meal where RAW salmon was served to a 3 year old 4. Ben Christie the GM knew our daughter was under 4 (kids supposed to eat free) yet we were charged 5. The kids salmon was taken off the check due to rawness and fish bones rather than being free as stated on Open Table 6. You gave me food poisoning which twisted my bowels inside out for over 24 hours 7. There is another guest who also had food poisoning the SAME night. December 12th, 2023 8. I will be reporting you to (however not limited to) The Colorado attorney generals office regarding fraud & consumer data protection, American Express, Eagle County Public & Environmental Health Department, & the Colorado department of Public Health & Environment 9. For the price you should be ashamed at the poor quality which led to food poisoning and the lack of service and deceitfulness related to this experience BEWARE

Yes....it is expensive. So, let's get that out of the way. Now, I usually do not spend the amount of money for dining, but it was around New Years and my wife and I rarely, if ever, get to travel together due to us both being caregivers for elderly parents. We had a real vacation to Beaver Creek. We traveled up from Texas with nephew and his family. We all went and it was WONDERUL. Expensive....but wonderful. Service was outstanding and food was very good. I'd go again if we ever get to Beaver Creek again.

I don’t understand the reviews describing this as a must do experience. It was awful and I’m so disappointed that I chose this for Christmas dinner with my family. When they said “sleigh” I assumed it was horse drawn similar to Breckenridge and Keystone. (My fault) It’s pulled by a loud snow groomer that spits ice and snow to such a degree that we were soaked and freezing after the 20 minute journey. It took them 40 minutes to seat us. Our service was good once we were seated. We each chose different dishes so we could try several things and not one dish was memorable. Not awful, just average at best. The dining room was quite cold, our server brought us blankets. We didn’t have any drinks and our bill after tip was $800 for three of us. Beginning to end this took nearly four hours. You can’t leave until a sleigh full of people are ready to go. Disappointed doesn’t begin to cover it. This is a tourist trap and not even a good one. I expected so much more from Beaver Creek.
Be the first to ReplyHORRIBLE FOOD POISONING….BEWARE!!!
We dined here on December 12th 2023. After waiting to experience Beano's after many people raving about it, we unfortunately had a horrible experience! Leading up to the days before our reservation, we were notified through text, email and several phone calls to confirm our reservation. We were told that the sleigh would depart promptly at 7:15pm for our 7:30 reservation, and we needed to be there or it would not wait for us. We got there promptly and waited for another couple for 40 minutes to arrive. Already late for our reservation, we get to Beano's and our table still isn't ready, and we wait another 30 minutes in their lobby. Then much to our surprise, the couple we were waiting on down below gets seated before us at the same size 4-top table we were given. The waiter was very nice and the soup, salad and appetizer all came out great! Time for our main course and the filet that 2 of us had ordered med-plus was completely raw in the middle! It couldn't have even been cooked, just seared. We sent both of them back and it came back out 10 mins later with some sort of gravy poured all over it and it was still just as rare as it was previously. Again, I sent it back and by this time still no manager had come over to apologize or offer anything additional while I waited. The rest of the people in my party had already finished, as well as everyone else. The dining room was empty! The staff was shutting down the restaurant and resetting the tables for the next day, which made us feel like we were being rushed out. The atmosphere to which we had partially paid for, had diminished, as well as our dinner experience! My husband asked to speak with a manager and he came over apologetic offering to comp the meal, but he was also very condescending when we tried to speak. We explained to him that this was unacceptable in a restaurant of this caliber and price point, as I had yet to receive my entree and the restaurant is resetting for the next day. The kitchen was already shut down while he jumped to make them prepare another steak for me, which we declined at this point. It was close to 11pm at this time and our reservation was for 7:30! Still not having eaten dinner, we leave on the last sleigh along with several of the staff. My husband gets back to our room and feels very awkwardly sick. He starts vomiting violently and ends up with food poisoning from what we presume is the elk entree that he consumed. We had all had similar soup, salad and appetizers and everyone was fine except for him. He consumed a glass of red wine while he was there, and didn't finish it, but that was all that he had while dining. I would warn anyone after the experience we had at this place. It's one thing to have the first several events to take place but when you get violently ill from eating at a restaurant to the point that you almost go to the ER, is very concerning! I informed our concierge at our residence about the events of the evening and I would only hope that this helps prevent anything similar to happening to anyone else who dines here. I am very curious if there were others recently who have had the Elk and have also gotten sick! I hope this was a helpful review for many others who are thinking of dining at this establishment!

Beano's cabin is WILDLY OVERRATED. I made a reservation for my family after reading several reviews calling this place a "once in a lifetime experience" and a couple of Colorado friends said that they had heard the same. After having dined there just last week, I cannot understand what was "once in a lifetime" about this unless you have just never been to a beautiful place in your life. Of course, the surroundings are beautiful. It's in the Colorado mountains. Everywhere you look is beautiful. I don't know what I was expecting when they said you take a sleigh up the mountain, but when someone says "once in a lifetime, amazing, unbelievable, etc..." I guess I was just expecting a bit more. The sleigh was like a pontoon boat connected to a tractor. If you ride up at night, you can't see too much, but it's still beautiful to see the trees, mountains, and snow. It wasn't too cold the night we went, but I can imagine this being very unpleasant on colder nights. The blankets provided were low quality, small, not very warm. This just wasn't the luxurious experience I was expecting for all the praise. The cabin itself was lovely, but nothing more than a beautiful cabin with a fireplace and a cute Christmas tree. The food was VERY mid for the exorbitant pricing. You do know the pricing up front, but just so you have a frame of reference, I spent over $700 including tip for a party of 3. The food was very mediocre (at best). The dessert was less than mediocre. The wait staff were incredible, however. Extremely kind, attentive, and professional in every way. I think the worst part about the experience was that they had a man singing live music with a microphone in small area. There really needs to be some attention paid to the audio engineering in that space, because it was SO loud that we could barely hear one another across the table. It would've made sense to have some quiet jazz or Christmas music playing, maybe a piano, but this man was singing Stone Temple Pilots, Tom Petty, the Eagles..... it was just odd and way too loud. I saw several people who had made the mistake of bringing small children to dinner there and they all seemed miserable. I definitely would not recommend brining young kids here after a long day of skiing. Maybe a daytime lunch would be more appropriate for that age. Overall, it was a very expensive disappointment. I don't know what all the hype was about.

After friends enjoyed Beano’s six years ago we decided to join them when we were all back in Colorado. After being assured over the phone that we’d be seated right as we arrived, we waited 45 minutes. The manager on duty said it was because the party two seatings before us took more than an hour over their anticipated time. (Managerial fault, not ours). For an 8 pm reservation we had our main course at 10:21 pm (the kids in our party noted the time as we were all very tired after a full day of skiing). As we were going to the “locker room” area to change back from the slippers we were given to eat in back to our regular shoes, my daughter noticed her snow boots were missing. Taken by accident or purposefully, either way my daughter was forced to return down the mountain in the restaurant’s slippers. A note to the head manager was given and after some back and forth via email describing the boots and sending a screen shot picture of them, I was completely ghosted. No offer to reimburse or even an apology. So after a dinner that cost almost $200/person I’m now out another $100 to replace my daughter’s snow boots. Disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely a great memory! And one note to the restaurant...
First, we were there on NYE's. The ride up is unforgettable. Definitely has this "heading to the Overlook Hotel" feel (The Shining) when it's climbing up the mountain in the snow in the dark. Adds to the vibe. The cabin is perfect. The music guest - just some light acoustic was perfect. The food was very good even though there were some snafu's. The staff completely skipped our second course and messed up our drink order, but it was super busy, so it's okay - but it did throw off the courses. While I would return in a heartbeat (the staff were very apologetic and very sweet) - I have one word of advice for the restaurant: when doing multiple courses, you must reduce the size of each course. My husband's main was an elk chop - it was 14-16 oz!!!! There's no way people can eat that when, by the time, it's served, there had been 4 other courses + an amuse bouche and another course to come (and a palate cleanser). Each course, was just too much food. We couldn't eat out desserts and got them "to go" and there they sat in the condo fridge because we had to leave the next morning. Otherwise, everything was lovely and it's a memory forever.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful experience but a few words of advice.
Food and service was outstanding. We loved the ambience. However our sleigh ride up was in a snow storm and it was very cold. The main issue was the blankets to sit on were completely soaked and the tarp-like covers were snow covered. No one brushed any snow off before we boarded. I understand they do not control the weather. My advice is to wear your snow pants if there is any precipitation. When you arrive at the cabin, they shuffle everyone into a large coat room to hang your coats, scarfs, etc. It would be very easy to remove your snow pants as well before entering the restaurant and avoiding sitting in wet pants all night! Also the seats directly behind the driver’s cabin on the sled are the most protected from wind. This was a very memorable night and don’t miss it! Even with a wet butt, we loved it!

Shuttled up to cabin although open table said option of wagon ride; that needs to be corrected. Had early reservations and scored a window table. Bret and Dan our servers were friendly and attentative. Strawberry salad fried heirloom tomatoes rabbit confit wild boar and quail were all good. Soups and berry cobbler were ok. Very expensive and way too much food. Once in a lifetime experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat start to vacation!
Having made several prior trips to Beaver Creek, we knew the great reputation of Beano's, but never visited due to the high (for us) cost. On this trip, we decided it was time to splurge...and it was certainly worth it. As others have mentioned, it is more than just a meal..it is an experience. The team-server approach is great. Never did we have to flag down a server. Courtney and Gabby stayed on top of the timing of each of the 5 courses. They and other staff members kept our glasses full, plates removed, and silverware replaced between courses. The energy level of the staff is way up there! As for the food, it too, was more of an experience than a meal. With the prix fixe menu, we had several choices at each course. It was hard to make a selection because many choices looked very appealing. Chef McKenzie has done a great job with the menu! My wife and I intentionally chose different options at each course so that we could share and sample two offerings. Each one easily exceeded our expectations! Flavors were full and use of ingredients was very creative... a true "foodie" experience!
Be the first to ReplyA magical delicious evening at Beano’s
Starting from the 20 minute starry night sleigh ride up to the cabin, to the beautiful soaring log cabin , to our fantastic/cheerful/can do waitress (Sarah) , and the phenomenal elegant mountain cuisine created by Chef Ryan, every minute of our experience At Beano’s was fantastic. Our group loved the Elk foie sausage, and the elegantly presented pheasant ravioli. We were astounded by the smoked venison steak cooked to perfection (tender/medium rare/tasty) - thinking it may have been sous vide but not sure. While never a huge fan of trout (bs salmon), I loved Beano’s trout with the yuzu vinaigrette. Desserts were great. Only complaint was the acoustic. Hard to hear in a wide open log cabin room with minimal sound cushioning devices and we were a table ranging from age of 18 to 50 to 65. Can’t wait to dine at Beano’s again.

Beano's is an experience and a meal. You have to take an open air snowcat up the mountain (it is cold, but the snowcat has very thick blankets for everyone to utilize, if need be, already laid out on the benches when you board). The ride was about 15 minutes to get to the restaurant and our guide was awesome. She was telling everyone the history of the mountain and how the restaurant came to be. Once arriving at the restaurant, there is a coat room for the layers you don't wish to keep on. The wine list is extensive and impressive, the sommelier was helpful and friendly, both servers were amazing. The food I cannot say enough about. Unreal, spectacular, stunning, delectable and the list goes on. Check out the photos and their descriptions to find out what we ate. I will be recommending Beano's Cabin to all of our friends and family as well as anyone who will listen. What an incredible experience. Thank you to everyone at Beano's Cabin and we will see you next year!

Fantastic Sleigh Ride up the mountain to Beano's Cabin. What a phenomenal, quaint place for a 5 course meal. Our family of 6 ended up with a $1500.00 final bill. Shocking as it was, the EXPERIENCE is Very Memorable!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BEANO'S CABIN if you can afford to pay their prices. 5 STAR RATING!

Oh, my! Absolutely wonderful! The elegant, rustic ambiance, the unhurried but impeccable service, and THE FOOD! This was our third visit but most certainly not our last.

What could you not like? A beautiful cabin in the middle of a mountain with gorgeous views, an incredible wait staff, the best filet mignon we've ever had (tender, prepared perfectly to our liking, and very flavorful, didn't need a knife to cut) Art was an excellent waiter, but honestly, everyone we interacted with was lovely and super helpful. Even a tween and teen thought the experience was memorable and enjoyed their meals tremendously. Pricey but a great memory for our family.
