Bao Kitchen Noodles & More Recoleta Reviews from The Last Year
Excellent food and attention
Today we met a bit by chance, this place that for me is excellent. The food is delicious, very well served and the service is also excellent, super friendly. The lemonade was also exact, without sugar. The price-quality ratio is the best I have tried, at least this time. I give it 11 points out of 10, highly recommended.
Good food, great service
I went to this restaurant two times while I was in BA. The food is tasty and the service is very friendly. Both times the servers were able to communicate in English. I recommend this place highly.
Very bad experience, I do not recommend it!
Out of terror, they took me out of the table earlier than agreed because they had reservations! I had to eat in a hurry! Very commercial for tourists! They try to make you leave quickly! The rice was served cold!
Good Asian find in the heart of Buenos Aires
We are a bunch of friends visiting south America for 3.5 weeks and boy do we miss Asian food. We stumbled upon this resto and ordered our noodles and rice dishes. Every dish was on point and we were glad we came to this resto to satisfy our cravings. I ordered teriyaki chicken served with rice, the rest ordered their niurou mian, la mian and another ordered some dry noodles with peanut sauce. It was truly enjoyable.
Great food and wonderful staff!
As Korean couple travelling for more than a month in South America and craving for authentic Asian food, Bao Kitchen was like a welcome oasis in a desert with delicious authentic food. We had kimchi, beef noodle soup, and chicken fried rice and they all tasted delicious and well made. The homemade Kimchi was well prepared for our Korean tastes and complemented well with other dishes. Our hunger for Asian food has been well satisfied with these amazing dishes. Furthermore, they have good wine selection that goes very well with the food, and special credit goes to Renaldo who had explained about the wine selection and its origin with passion. We had wonderful conversation with Renaldo about Argentinian wine, Falun Gong movement, and his curiosity for Asian culture. My wife and I had a wonderful (and memorable) lunch at Bao Kitchen in Buenos Aires.
There are two entries for Bao Kitchen.
This one is the correct address. This is one of those places that stands out in BA which has a limited offering of Chinese restaurants. The menu is fairly short with meat, vegetarian and vegan options. The waiter was helpful. The beer and food arrived quickly and the price is reasonable. We asked for hot sauce on the side. That's "ají picante" in Argentina. We ate the first saucers of it, then asked for more. After three weeks in Argentina and Uruguay where the food is great but bland, we spooned the ají over everything and licked the saucer. BTW the artisan beer was quite good. The waiter gave my wife a Falun Gong pamphlet at the end of the meal but was way more laid back than a Jehovah's Witness. A small price to pay for a tasty meal.
We ask for delivery. The food, disappointing. The empanadas and the tasteless baños. The dumplings, mediocre. we will not return
Bland food. Bland empanadas. Regular baths. Mediocre dumplings. Regular price. Disappointing. We will not order again.
Delicious food
BBQ ribs was the star. Tender, juicy and very delicious. It’s a must to try! Kimchi was very good. Mandarins chicken was flavorful and delicious, but wasn’t crispy. Beef noodles was the only dish we didn’t enjoy. It lacked salt and flavors. The broth needed depth in flavor. Very nice employees and suitable prices.
Good experience
Delicious! Neat place, fast and pleasant service! I was left wanting to try many other dishes. Without a doubt, we will return!
As a visitor, I was starting to get tired of eating steak.
It seems like all the highly rated restaurants were steak houses in this city, so when I saw an Asian restaurant with high ratings, I decided to try this place. I suppose it's good for the area, but if you're from Asia or even Western cities that have high Asian populations (Vancouver, SF, NY, etc), you'll be disappointed. Beef noodle soup broth was a little watery and bland. The dumpling in hot oil were good. Service was friendly.
Crucible of gossip
Russians at one table, Australians at the other, an Indian family beyond and more foreigners everywhere. Where are they from, the girl asks us and is amazed at our location. All this at the same time and a lot of noise. Especially a lot of noise. The kitchen? Rare and tasty flavors.
Good Chinese food
Very good Chinese cuisine. Pollo Kung Bao and Pollo Mandarin were very good, and the starters were also very good and not overpriced. A good alternative for good Asian food outside of Barro Chino.
Authentic tasty food
Great food and service. They modified the meal for me to be gluten free - no problem. The food is authentic, very tasty, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend it.
