Went back to Balos today after about a month after my last visit and of course it did not disappoint! I did try the crab cakes today, and although the portions were great they could have had just a little more seasoning in the crab but overall they were good. I also had the brussel sprouts for the first time, and oh my God I'm definitely going to get them from now on anytime that I go! I just so happened to be the only person sitting at the bar (it was a Sunday around 4:30)so I was expecting at least a few people to be there but it was still cool. The service was excellent, the bartender was great.. although I think he was new he still handled it. I just love Balos overall because it's just always so dainty, so cool, so nice, so welcoming and so beautiful. I still have not had the chance to visit on a Friday or Saturday night but I will be doing that very very soon! I just have to experience the night time celebration! If you have not been to Balos, read all of my reviews and see my pictures and just know that the food is great, the service is wonderful, and the Ambiance is like no other! There's never a time that I've walked through those doors and felt like I was still in DC. It always gives me the same high-end Miami vibes and that's what I live for!

We went on a Thursday night and it was the perfect crowd--not too busy but a perfect crowd for a night of fun for celebrating ME! Our server was great, food was great, and vibes were a 10/10. We had to do the prefixe menu based on the group size--was a little pricey based on the proportions, but no complaints on the food. I love balos and recommend it for all your bday soirées.

Great service, I asked for a bit of an off menu accommodation which they graciously did for me. I saw several large groups so is nice to know they manage groups of at least about 12 or so at once, The restaurant is extremely loud though, once it started filling up it was a bit difficult to hear-but not a showstopper. Parking is hit or miss, there are some garages. Price is $$$ but the food and cocktails were really really good.

It has been a while since we went to Balos and it's really good to be home! Honestly, the food is almost a secondary reason to go here because the service, the atmosphere and the dining room are so great. The dining room at Balos is like being transported somewhere else where you forget your troubles, you forget the mundane and normal world. It is a beautiful dining room. The atmosphere is like some sort of fancy celebrity party - beautiful people are everywhere, the music is loud, thumpingly loud! And it gets louder the later you there. So, bottom line on the dining room - I love it BUT it is definitely NOT the place for quiet and romantic conversations or catching up with old friends you have not seen in a long time. But, on the flip flop, it is a freakin SCENE!!! The service, too, is fantastic. The staff is picture perfect both in appearance but also in service. Our server, Oumos (not sure I got this name correctly - he's Serbian) was fantastic. So smart, polished and he handled all of his tables beautifully. But even the back staff and bus people were great. They continually wiped our table off (we must have eaten like pigs), they constantly filled our water glasses, they kept the attention on us which is what we all want when we pay for a nice dinner out. Right? The food too is outstanding! We ordered the zucchini fritters and I have never had as good as these. There was no hint of any grease or oil on the beautiful and crispy crunchy outside crust. The filling was moist and flavorful. My main was the bone-in pork chop which was to die for. There was so much of it that I could not finish it. My spouse had the scallops and, while they were tasty and prepared nicely, he reports that the quality of the scallops were not up to par. They were stringy and tough. When he told Oumos about that, a manager named Jessica came over to our table within 10 minutes. She sat down and engaged us in a conversation about the food - not to counter the opinion on the scallops - but to understand exactly what we meant. Jessica was professional, sweet and charming - a real asset to Balos. She made sure that any disappointment was heard and was defused. She was the best! For dessert, we shared the chocolate layer cake. Expensive, yes, at $19.00, but HUGE. Easily as big as my head! We could not finish this huge delicious piece of cake. Bottom line - Balos keeps its place as a top place for dinner when you want to impress, even if it's only yourself! I highly recommend Balos. Just know that it will be LOUD!!!

They rush you along, you feel like you are a bother to the service people. The DJ starts at 8pm, and the music is as loud as a club. We were literally screaming at each other to have a convo. Will definitely not come back for dinner, until they fix the music levels.

The flavors were all there and the pita bread was insanely soft and mouthwatering. I didn't get pictures or the main entrees but they were absolutely delicious. We got the caviar bumps with a shot of tequila which was a fun touch to wrap up dinner. The service was great and our server checked in on us often to make sure we were ready for our entrees. Our drinks were fantastic! The overall vibe of Balos was so fun! At the end of the night they had a DJ which kept the livelihood going and I would definitely return!

I went on a Wednesday after work in the atmosphere was a little quiet considering it was 6 PM on a weekday, but the service was great and all the food was so fresh. I would love to go back on the weekends when they have a DJ and do the napkin throwing. I thought all the food was very good and my favorites were the grilled octopus and sea scallops. They brought out fresh pita and dips, which were also very delicious! It is quite pricey so definitely is a place to go for a special occasion.

The ambiance and live music are wonderful! The service was great, our waiter was very attentive and friendly. That being said it had some dishes that were great but some that were quite disappointing.The grilled octopus appetizer was a highlight with everyone that came with me. The gyro was the most disappointing item we tried as it was very dry and unseasoned. We tried both the pork and lamb. For dessert, galaktoboureko was our favorite. The baklava was not fresh or flaky. It was hard to eat with a spoon as it was too soggy and hard at the same time.

Went for a night out to celebrate my sister's bday and had an amazing time. Warning up front, it's loud, but we knew that going in. We made the reservation that day (luckily there was a cancellation) and Ollie was very helpful and recommended we come for the napkin toss. Our server was the sweetest, gave great recommendations, and was very attentive, I wish I remembered her name. Now to the food- We had the hummus, Lamb Youvetsi, Black Sea Bass, and Greek Lemon Potatoes for dinner. For drinks, a Summer Peach Mule, Island Passion, Cuvee Les Chailloux, Cherrier, 2023, and a Chocolate Martini. Absolutely no notes on the food, the lamb and fish were cooked and seasoned perfectly and we both had to take half home from being so stuffed. The lemon potatoes were a perfect side dish but barely got touched due to the amount of food on the table. I would skip the cocktails and go for their great wine selection and maybe finish the night with one of their espresso martinis.
