Excellent lunch experience
Absolutely great lunch experience. Super friendly service, accomodated lots of extra wishes and served amazing food Great winelist with a lot of superb choice One of the best schnitzels I have had in a while Amazing view over the valley and Gstaad Very cozy dining room as well and a good crowd during lunch. One of the best experiences in Gstaad Thank you so much to the team. We will be back!

We went there last week and I ordered the veal with black truffles, was really delicious!! The waiters were so kind and the views are nice too!!

Most, and almost all, of the menu is very ordinary.
I deeply suggest going here only for a wine/cheese evening, since having the largest wine selection of the country does not matter after not being able to have a good matching with food. The prices are, no need to say, very high which pushes the price/performance rating to the ground.
We had the fois gras (huge piece of standart fois gras with little sides) and oxtail ravioli (cold stuffing with a bombardement of truffle on top) for entree. Had the 3rd expesinve sharing dish, duck, which came half raw (giving gum effect) & very salty (due to soy sauce) and had to send it back. Their main course of lamb was unstatisfactory. The dessert options are limited unless you want sorbet or fruits, in which we had the apple tart (which I define as "apple with one layer of millefeuille") and the suggested dessert from their tasting menu (which was ok).
All and all, Drinking a wine in a restaurant is always more expensive than buying it to-go. The reason for that is being able to try it with the chef's menu. In this case the menu is not challenging, creative and delicious compared to a michelin level restaurant. Therefore, I can buy my swiss wine and gruyere cheese elsewhere and have a better gastronomic experience in my hotel room.
Classical excellence
Due to the circumstance we were condemned to have dinner twice in this restaurant, which was definitely a nice sentence allowing us to taste more dishes from the menu. There is a good choice of meat, vegetarian and seafood dishes and we enjoyed everything we tasted, with a thumb up for the delicious and magnificently prepared langoustines. Products are of the highest quality, perfectly prepared and nicely presented. You must be prepared to a very classical offer though, no improbable associations, asian influences or fusion whatever in this restaurant, just classical, mostly French with a hint off Mediterranean, cuisine. Wine list is plethoric and expensive. Service extremely attentive and efficient. Good bread. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.
