Afternoon Tea in NYC
Wow, just wow. Had the pleasure to have afternoon tea here, and it was absolutely spectacular. The service is fit royalty. The tea, the pastries and the sandwiches were absolutely fabulous. We had a table by the window and had a great view of the museum across the street. Words cannot describe the wonderful experience we had at this beautiful restaurant. I recommend a mimosa to go with the tea.

Centrally located in Midtown New York City, the Baccarat Hotel is directly opposite the Museum of Modern Art making it an art fan draw. This Parisian inspired hotel is flooded with millions of dollars of famed Baccarat crystal, some 15,000 pieces sprinkled about the hotel. I was delighted with my Grand Classis King room that was decked out with signature Baccarat crystal accents. The room embraced a city view, floor to ceiling windows, wood floors, sleek contemporary furniture and an assortment of high-tech room appliances. The bathroom was adorned with white marble with a walk-in shower. The Grand Salon restaurant views like an extravagant living room: full of red roses, crystal chandeliers and lots of sitting configurations. In the Grand Salon, I sipped coffee along side an order of Scottish Salmon for breakfast and for late mid-day I enjoyed Afternoon Tea and then I consumed inventive cocktails in the evening. Other hotel amenities include the La Mer, an indoor pool and a fitness center. So, If you would like a chance to live in a French crystal palace.....then try the ..............Baccarat ...... This is hands down our favorite spot in NYC!! Every detail is magical but the staff is the the reason we keep coming back. We love everything about The Baccarat and we especially love Ishita, at the front desk, who makes every stay feel like most important and special. Our family made such special memories on our spring break trip and The Baccarat is a huge reason why. Can’t wait to return!!

Be the first to ReplyBeautiful Baccarat---the most luxurious, caring, elegant, attentive hotel experience world wide.
The Baccarat is the best hotel experience ever. It is second to none. I've traveled my entire life and the way in which you are cared for from Kelvin at the front door to Ishita at the front desk. To Freisha and Vittorio and Saliman in the Grand Salon. You will feel embraced the entire time you are there...kindness, elegance, beauty, care, all of it. I can't say enough. Just exquisite from morning 'til night...turndown service: exceptional.

Everything in this hotel is spotless and so well thought through. One can feel the passion that people have here. The quality of the place makes it worthwhile to spend a few extra days. Looking forward to return.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible Anniversary Staycation
Baccarat Hotel was everything I dreamed it to be and more. We chose to stay with them as a special treat for our 6 year anniversary. The team was lovely and welcoming, surprising my boyfriend and I with a small treat in our room as a congratulations! We arrived early because we had a 12:30 Afternoon Tea reservation at their Grand Salon (which was delicious by the way!). Our room was stunning and so comfortable. The details and presentation was top-notch. I love how the bathroom amenities are laid out! I can't wait to come back, it was truly an unforgettable stay.

I love this hotel so much! I’m a hotel snob and it’s a bold statement coming from me but this was probably my favorite hotel stay. The hotel is obviously beautiful but the staff is really what makes it special. Their attention to detail in unmatched. Sophia at the front desk and Teddy in the bar were both incredible souls. Every staff member we encountered seemed to take so much pride in their work and truly seemed to love their jobs and that says a lot. I can’t think of a single negative thing to say. I should also mention the food and cocktails were fabulous and honestly I felt the prices were really reasonable for the quality. Some hotels charge a premium for subpar food & service but that’s not the case here. We will definitely be back! It will be hard to stay anywhere else in NYC after this.
Be the first to ReplyRude service
Visited the hotel for tea inn23rd February with some friends. We sat in the salon for tea and coffee. The service was very arrogant almost to suggest we were not welcome . I ordered an English Breakfast tea I received Assam instead. When I queried it the waiter simply said ‘it was the closest they had to English breakfast tea’. I explained I didn’t want Assam and asked to have it changed to an Earl Grey. The waiter simply said I’ll change it. There was no apology and his treatment was very dismissive and almost to say you have what we give you. We were staying at the Park Hyatt and have enjoyed drinks and afternoon tea at the Baccarat on many I occasions however following this recent visit I doubt I will be going back in a hurry. It was rude with no apology!

The staff from the doorman to the front desk and even the cleaning crew were very polite, courteous and helpful with any and everything I had questions about. I would highly recommend this to everyone

Elegant, friendly, warm at home feeling, in close proximity to the pulse of NYC. Very consistent on guest services.Always friendly but just enough to make you feel at home. I like low key sometimes and over the top sometimes. you can have your choice here and they do a great job on both sides of the spectrum. We really love staying here and the upgrade was beautiful as well. Thank you

Highly recommend staying here. A unique experience of a lifetime. I keep coming back for more. The service is of the utmost caliber and I feel like the staff here are like friends at this point. Coco in security went the extra mile to bring my mother and I iced coffees to our uber upon checkout because when grabbing our bags we mentioned we were in need of caffeine. It is service like this that truly sets Baccarat apart!

A beautiful hotel filled with magnificent crystal. Highly attentive service. Wonderful food in a setting lit by beautiful crystal chandeliers. The hot tub and salt water pool was invigorating and refreshing after a run in Central Park.
Be the first to ReplyStunning place with magnificent food and service!
We had an exceptional dinner with my wife at the Baccarat hotel Grand Salon. The place is elegantly decorated with huge chandeliers and beautiful artwork, and the staff was beyond helpful. Chef Ali prepared the most delicious food and personally introduced us to the menu and history of the Baccarat hotel making it a very special night!

My Husband and I has the most wonderful date night. The place is gorgeous, beautifully decorated, and the food was phenomenal. If you are looking for a one of a kind culinary experience in New York City, this is it! An absolute must for couples ♥️
Be the first to ReplyStunning Michelin star experience with Chef Ali and team
Look no further, Baccarat is know for history and luxurious warm hospitality. Always having an amazing welcome and 2 Michelin star food/drinks. Chef Ali Dey Daly is one of a true human offering the guests a memorable experience and well known among the hotel and team. Thank you for always making me feel home whether you’re staying, chilling at un petit mot, dining at grand salon or just having a drink at the bar.

My wife and I stayed at the Baccarat Hotel NYC for our Anniversary in May. The hotel is located right by the MOMA, so a lot of neat things are a frisby-throw away. The property itself is lovely. It has the feel of a boutique hotel and you will forget you're in the heart of NYC when you step into the lobby. The design is very distinctive and a bit difficult to describe asides for saying that the common areas are grandiose and opulent, and fit for a french noble, while the guestrooms are elegant and subdued, an ideal place to recharge. I believe the room sizes are on par with other 5-star hotels in Manhattan, but the actual layout is fantastic and our room felt like a wide open space (even with a king-size poster bed in it). Staff-members are generally very warm and friendlly. Our housekeeper introduced herself and congratulated us on our anniversary and spent a few minutes chatting with us - she was very well-spoken and well-travelled, and I have to say that is the first time I have ever had a housekeeper take that kind of initiative. The hotel's bellstaff and and valet service greeted us by name and were pretty stellar at getting us taxis with a John Wick type of flair! We only ate at the hotel once, which was for breakfast, and it was amazing. We regretted not cancelling an outside breakfast reservation the following day since it deprived us from having another go at the lemon ricotta pancakes! I am not generally a proponent of indoor pools, I find them claustrophobic and if I go it's usually because our kiddos want to. But it was a very hot day outside and I wanted to get in a workout, so I deviated from my usual routine and hit the pool. I found the pool at the Baccarat Hotel to be stunning. Even though it could use some upkeep (I noted there was a bit of mold growing in the areas adjacent to the hottub), it is easily one of the most beautiful indoor pool areas I've seen in a big city hotel in the states. During our stay, the pool was modestly trafficked by families with young children that owned a Baccarat residence - it did not get in the way of enjoying the hottub and cabana, but swimming laps in the pool became challenging. Perhaps early morning-time would be better. The hotel does have a house car but it was of no utility to us because the driver, despite often being available, was not allowed to take us anywhere during our stay because our destinations were either outside of the prescribed radius or inside the prescribed radius but subject to excessive traffic. It's true that the city was uncannily busy while we were there, even for New York. The reason I cannot give this hotel 5-stars is because of a series of billing gaffes. The hotel was entirely prepaid but my credit card was charged the entire stay a second time after I had checked out. I caught this myself and the hotel did apologize and reversed the charge, but it took me more than one phone call, with prolonged holds, to get it sorted out. Second item is also not exactly a huge deal, but was equally annoying: When I was at the pool, the attendant, who was absolutely wonderful and attentive, asked me if I would like something to drink. He did not have a menu but listed off the items verbatim. I ordered a fruit smoothie without knowing the price. The drink took 30 minutes to arrive and was at room temperature by that time. The total price for the smoothie in a plastic 'to go' cup came out to $37. That seems excessive but I ordered it so I paid for it. While taking my first few sips, I noted that the provided straw had a perforation in it. I pointed it out to the attendant, along with the concern that if the straw had a tear in it, its likely that it was not sterile and the drink was likely contaminated at this point. We set it to the side and he assured me he would have another one brought out. I waited there for another 30-odd minutes before I really had to get going to make a reservation. I notified the pool attendant that the smoothie never made it and I could not wait any longer, so he spoke with management and assured me the charge would be reversed since I technically never had the drink. The charge made it to our final bill despite this, and since no one seemed familiar with what had transpired, I had to rehash the entire event at checkout to get the smoothie removed. Somewhere in the fiasco with the double billing and its rectification, the charge for the godblessed smoothie was reimplemented and apparently this time it could not be readily reversed because a few phone calls later, with prolonged hold times, it was still on my credit card. I am a heart doctor and my work week is very long and loaded with stressful incidents. I spent too much time and aggravation on this and after the second phone call was met with some resistance, I just threw in the towel and accepted the $37 charge as the price of a few spared moments of zen in my day. Once again, not something that would prevent me from staying here in the future, but I really did not expect these kinds of hiccups from a hotel of this caliber. Overall, great hotel with impeccable staff.
Be the first to ReplyMy repeat stay was just as heavenly!
It was our first Family vacation post Covid in US. This stay at Baccarat was as heavenly as my first stay in 2018 summer. Got upgraded to a suite and the kids were over the moon. The attention to detail made the stay impeccable - we really felt like we were at home, despite we were half a world apart from Hong Kong.

The hotel common areas are beautiful. Staff is top notch. The rooms are new, clean, and well apportioned. The television is disguised as a mirror. Some amenities in the room are intuitive and others must be discovered.
