A michelin star wonder in the Richmond area as my first
A michelin star wonder in the Richmond area as my first taste for Moroccan cuisine. Interior was chic and brightly lit dinner area with high table tops. Server was attentive with water and drinks. Hero of the dish was the different spices. We tried the red and green charbouleh. Red (parprika) completed with the charred prawns. The green (herbs)charbouleh completed the asparagus. Trio of spreads is a must get. Each spread has it's own different flavor from spicy to rich to creamy . Finally, the 24 hour slow cooked braised lamb with farro was worth the wait. Lamb meat just melt off the bone. Farro is now my new favorite couscous. I love the nutty texture. Don't forget to order the cornbread early as it takes time to bake. Dishes: PIQUILLO & ALMOND | DILL LEBNI & SMOKED TROUT ROE | WHITE BEAN & BLACK OLIVE CORN BREAD | HARISSA BUTTER ASPARAGUS | GREEN CHARMOULA | PINENUTS | MARROCANAISE | CURED EGG YOLKS CHARRED PRAWNS | RED CHARMOULA | HARISSA EMULSION | BLACK GARLIC | CONFIT GARLIC BRAISED LAMB SHANK | FARRO | CELERY ROOT | PARSNIPS | MOYER PRUNE | HERB SALAD

Came to Aziza for weekend brunch and enjoyed our time here! The pancakes were delicious, highly recommend those. A few other items were a miss, like the shrimp and grits (only came with 3 shrimp, all of which were really overcooked) and the avocado toast ($20 for a slice of toast with avocado and scrambled eggs). Service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant wasn't too busy. I'd come back to try their dinner service next time!
Be the first to ReplyGreat service and amazing food.
This place never disappoints. Best Moroccan food in SF.

Stopped by after a long day in the city and can't say enough good things about this food. Everything tasted AMAZING! The cornbread was to die for. It was so moist. Highly recommend the cornbread regardless of what you order. I'm looking forward to going back.

while the establishment need not be crammed with tables, the pleasure on the taste buds will put you in a heavenly state. the 3 types of spread, lamb, citrus salad, and fish, delivered memorable experience for a long time to come. My only regret is being so stuffed that we couldn't do dessert. I cannot wait to attend again.

Tonight we took my brother who's visiting from out of town and remembered Aziza from his last visit more than a year ago because of the delicious cornbread with harissa butter. My 7 year old kid also joined us and after tasting the grilled shrimp small plate said it should be called Wowziza instead of Aziza because everything tastes "wow." Some of our favorite dishes are the cabbage small plate and the whole branzino with beans and a light but flavorful sauce. Tried the basteeya for the first time and it was amazing.
Be the first to ReplyWe tried the brunch menu for the first time at Aziza.
It did not disappoint. Reservations were easy to make online with options of seating at normal or communal table. Great location. Great service. We shared the burrata and avocado toast appetizer. Enjoyed the house made waffle, eggs Benedict, shrimp and grits, seared salmon plate. Everything was delicious and fresh!. Brunch service isn't as busy as their normal dinner service, but I enjoyed not having to scream over people as they get quite busy and louder during dinner.
Be the first to ReplyLiterally the cutest aesthetic with delicious Moroccan food
Literally the cutest aesthetic with delicious Moroccan food located in the Inner Richmond so you have a chance of finding parking! Highlights: - trio spread: look how pretty these dips are & each flavor is so diverse with super fluffy warm bread - prawns w harissa sauce: the prawns are gigantic & I think harissa anything is perfect - cornbread: YUM it's HOT and you get butter & ITS SO GOOD (it's a HIT) You gotta come here for a cute girls night. The cappuccinos & cocktails are also delicious & there's ample of space. There's even a room in the back that's perfect for large parties Service is AMAZING they are so attentive of your every need.

Wow. The tastes - what a beautiful experience. We started the evening early as reservations can be difficult to be had but from the time we walked in the door to the time we left we had a wonderful experience. The waiter was amazing. Great sense of humour, very insightful, and worked with us for the entire evening to make certain we were comfortable and thoroughly enjoying our time together. The food. Can't say enough. We chose to take and share family style a number of appetizers and mains - just like at home. I would not do it any other way. We were four and we chose 4 appetizers and three mains. By the end of the evening; we were extremely happy with the flavours and proportions. Let's talks flavours. They were each beautiful and unique. Couldn't ask for anything else. Each dish was of a size that was easily shared amongst 4. What a terrific dinner. A must try.
Be the first to ReplyFood: The dip trio: amazing.
The white bean was my favorite but they all were perfectly balanced and the flavors complement each other. The flat bread is perfect. The kefta/meatball: beef and lamb. This was delicious with the cucumber and crema The cornbread: perfect. Just order it. It takes 40mins to cook so place your order early. The lamb shank: this is marinated for 24hours. All I need to say. Tender! Seasoned perfectly. Broccolini: garlic and lemon and amazing. Atmosphere: very cute. Tables are close together and you can certainly hear the conversations next to you. Service: very attentive and knowledgeable.

My friend and I came here for a brunch and both of us were satisfied with what we've gotten. I ordered the roasted prawns, which was served with like a potato sauce/soup rather than mashed potatoes, but I'm not complaining and I in fact like it as it was very creamy and delicious with the sauces drizzled on top. The prawns themselves were all very fresh, big and meaty. My friend and I both love the cilantro topping. The smoked salmon egg Benedict was pretty good too, as the salmon was tender, thick, and not too smoky, the salad was freshly made with a decent refreshing dressing, and the eggs are perfectly poached with high quality eggs which you can tell by the orangish thick runny yolk. The roasted baby potatoes on the side are like the best roasted potatoes my friend and I have ever had, they might be fried, but it's very crispy, not hard, on the outside and soft like mashed potatoes on the inside, they were perfectly seasoned too. We also ordered the yuzu desert to share but my friend was in a rush for a date so we had it boxed and I took it home and forgot about it until the next day. Honestly I was very impressed by it because it has a very delicious and refreshing flavor and it's creamy with great consistency. I killed it in couple of seconds cause of how good it is. I wish my friend had a chance to try it. The restaurant itself have a nice environment, even tho we both think some tables are too closed to each others it's still big and wide enough for you to not overhear other's conversations or feel like it's too crowded or noisy. The staffs are nice too. They made sure nobody took our stuffs when we went out for a smoke. We honestly didn't know they have a brunch menu when we decided to come here, we were expecting some lamb shanks but we ended up happy for trying out their brunch items. It's a good experience overall and we will consider coming back again.
Be the first to ReplyReally solid brunch option that you can actually get into
Really solid brunch option that you can actually get into last minute. Don't miss the beghrir pancakes. Soft and spongy and not too sweet - I usually skip the syrup on my pancakes because it makes it too sweet, but the honey actually works perfectly with the pancakes here. Note that the beghrir pancakes don't really look like traditional American pancakes at all - they're yellow, thin, and hole-y. The custard French toast should also not be missed (hopefully you've come with a large enough group to order both the french toast and the beghrir pancakes so you don't have to make the tough decision of which one to try). The French toast was fluffy and the mascarpone on top was a nice creamy addition to the toast. On the more savory end, the soft scrambled eggs were excellent, just perfectly soft and fluffy eggs. The shakshuka I didn't love, too much chickpea and more earthy flavor than I prefer. Burrata was a great starter, the burrata was creamy and I liked all the greens and fruit it came with.

.. A heavy hand in the kitchen with the salt. The lovely glass carafe on the table was refilled 3-4 times before our entrees arrived with practiced quickness. The cous cous was well constructed and the trio of dips was well spiced. The circle flatbread was tender and beautiful. We dined at Aziza at this location once before and enjoyed the cornbread. This night everything was just so salty. The elegance and nuance of the Aziza of old seems to have shifted into more of a hustle bustle atmosphere. Our server was attentive and tried to gently steer us away from the cabbage. I'd like to for nostalgia's sake but am not yet sure if I'd return.
Be the first to ReplyGreat restaurant.
It was very modern and clean inside. The entree portions are huge. The dips are amazing. Definitely a great spot to have an intimate dinner. Would definitely come back.

Really great service!! Food was pretty good, although decadent. Overall, a delicious meal with eclectic food. The best thing was the spread and cornbread! Couscous was also very delicious.

the Mediterranean inspired food was beautifully presented, fresh, and so tasty. This restaurant is a hidden gem and I would definitely return with friends.

Here I am again back after a long time and after a good review. Aziza always makes me second guess which I like more, the food, the drinks or the environment. Im going to keep it simple. They do a really good job at keeping everything really clean and tidy. All of the waiters, servers and hosts included are very professional and keep this place up and running smoothly. I'm a simple person, Moroccan food is a people food. That being said compliments to the chef. This is a fine dining place but don't take it too seriously. Sincerely E.L

Came here for brunch around 11am on a Saturday and was seated immediately with lots of empty seats. It looked like it started to fill up around 12. Interior is nice inside, pretty unassuming from the outside. Perfect for a date or catch up with friends. We ordered:Labni Yogurt ($10)- this was beautifully plated, loved all the fruit and lots of granola. A lot less yogurt in comparison, which I didn't mind, but it was a bit too sweet for me. I like the tangy/tartness of labneh yogurt and it didn't really come through for me here. Shakshuka ($22)- This was really really well done. The flavors in this dish were amazing. Loved the chickpeas in this, as I've not had chickpeas in my shakshuka before. Crispy Potatoes side ($10)- These were soooo good. Perfectly crispy and flavorful. Came with a good portion size. Custard French Toast ($15)- Waited a little long for this one but it was soooo good. Definitely a bit heavy, so good to share- would not order as an entree alone. Not overly sweet, but still a nice sweet bite to end a meal. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside! Bloody Mary ($15)- Forgot the name of this drink, but my boyfriend got it and loved it! Overall, food was really really well done and nicely presented. It just took like over 20 minutes for the custard french toast to come out after we had finished our meal, so I probably wouldn't have coursed out the food like they suggested in the future. Also, note there's not too much meat on the brunch menu- which I actually prefer, but my boyfriend did point that out as nothing we got had meat (the $12 for kefta seemed a bit steep). Definitely a tad pricy and will add up, but they had good portion sizes and was definitely full by the time the french toast came. Would love to come for dinner.

Went here for brunch around 11 on a Saturday morning! It was a little far out in the Richmond but fairly empty when we got there, though it quickly filled up around noon. We had a reservation but it wasn't necessary at the time. My friend and I split the shakshuka and the french toast - both were delicious! The shakshuka was a tomato and chickpea base with cured egg yolks (very unique!) and crusty bread on the side, and the french toast had a blueberry and custard topping with a chai-like spice blend. Both were really good and left us full :) I also had some of the moroccan mint tea which was refreshing -- the cup had pine nuts in it which was also new tome! The interior was also really nicely decorated and the service was attentive. My only drawback would be the location, but if you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit!

5 starsI brought a friend in to have brunch here. I like that their brunch plates are healthier than American ones. I got the eggs Benedict and a latte. The crispy potato rounds are outstanding. They use both purple potatoes and golden potatoes. My dish came with a healthy side salad. The ambiance feels upscale, and brunch prices are average for this area, so paying for this ambiance with high ceilings and lots of natural light for a catch-up or hangout is worth it.My friend got their shakshuka. It's the first time he had it in his life, and he's happy with his first time shakshuka experience. The hostess who doubled up as our waitress was very kind, helped us get seated as soon as possible, and was very thorough with explaining what was used as ingredients for our food. The bussers were good about refilling our waters.
Be the first to ReplyI've tried Aziza for both brunch and dinner and I can
I've tried Aziza for both brunch and dinner and I can positively say I have no interest in going back. The food is incredibly rich and sweet, and the overall feel was a bit too pretentious for me. The eggplant was OK, and my favorite dish there. The corn bread was good at first, but there's so much of it and it's incredibly sweet... I recommend sharing it between 4 people. Finally, the basteeya was some kind of cross between a dessert pastry and a chicken pot pie. It was incredibly sweet (I assume from the dates and perhaps honey), and similar to the cornbread, it was OK for a few bites -- but the richness gets old very quickly. Overall I would have loved to see more variety in flavors from Aziza, and more savory. I'm assuming I ordered wrong, but given these are the crowd favorites, I don't get what I'm missing. p.s. this didn't impact the review at all, but the SF mandate surcharge is getting old - just increase menu prices maybe? It feels like a hidden fee.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best brunches in San Francisco.
The food and flavor was out of this world. Each bite took you on a journey of different flavors of morocco; you could taste the individual herbs and spices. The French toast dish is a must; savory, sweet, and texture. The mushroom-burrata appetizer on the current menu is also a must. My partner raves about the "handwarmer" alcoholic beverage; a whole pot of tea with alcohol and honey. Not only was the flavor amazing; we left full. This restaurant had me looking up trips to morocco at the breakfast table. A true brunch must go!
