ATLAS Singapore Reviews
Favorite meal & dining experience in Singapore
Came in on a Friday for lunch & sat at the bar. Had the spicy Cauliflower with paprika aioli, pickles & Scallops. Both delicious & the spicy cauliflower was a stand out, seriously fantastic. Had the orange G&T & glass of white wine (think Sancerre but lamely can’t remember). I was treated wonderfully by Karina & the other staff that were welcoming & said hello. I’m a foodie & this was the best dining experience I had in Singapore based on the ambience, delicious meal & incredible service.
Fabulous time in an amazing bar!!
Amazing experience from start to finish. Told our waiter it was my mum’s birthday later that week (turning 88). They brought out a cake with a candle - made her day!!
Amazing decor, but overall disappointing service
Amazing decor. It’s simply stunning. Good range of cocktails and wines, with prices that are to be expected from a high end place in Singapore. Menu was good and had dishes at different price levels. The only thing that let down was the service. Very quick to collect orders but then became very slow. 45 minutes between starter and main course, couldn’t find a server to ask, wine service was slow also. The staff were pleasant, just not as attentive as you’d expect, also no one server for our table, it seemed to be who ever was passing at that time. Disappointing really.
Lacklustre experience
The art deco style and backdrop of Atlas Bar is stunning, there is no doubt about that. It is probably the key selling point of this place. Given that it positions itself as a posh establishment, the level of service provided certainly doesn't match up. While staff were not rude, service was perfunctionary and without warmth. Water was not topped up despite reminding. The bottle of tabasco sauce that came on the plate together with the lobster roll was mostly empty with only a few mls of tabasco inside. We were reminded a few times to put in the orders for main course, dessert and last order at various times during dinner. At the 2.5 hour dot from starting dinner, the bill was presented. Sure felt like we were being hurried on our way. No thank you and goodbyes when we left. It wasn't a great dining experience. There are plenty of other bars that do much better.
Great Atmosphere, Drinks, and Amazing View
I visited this bar because a friend came to visit us in Singapore. We had never been here before, although we had heard about it. From the moment you walk in, the view is simply stunning, and the interior is full of details that make it unique. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, perfect to enjoy both drinks and food. It was truly a very pleasant experience and definitely a place worth visiting.
The building, decor, bar, seating, and ambience are
The building, decor, bar, seating, and ambience are off-the-charts great. The cocktail menu is eclectic. I tried the Atlas Old Fashioned, which has blended, peated Scotch instead of rye. It has a couple other twists. It was interesting. The smokiness of the Scotch was a marked contrast to the sweetness of the sugar and the citrus. I think the flavors clashed. That's OK though. I ordered it. It was made well. I drank it. All good. My party had some madeleines, bread, and fries. All good. The fries were outstanding. The only miss was the service. I think better trained servers would have really made this an incredible experience. It was very nice...but not incredible.
Kardina Made Our Night at Atlas Bar
Our visit to Atlas Bar was made exceptional by Kardina. She was sweet, sincere, and incredibly knowledgeable about gin — truly the highlight of our evening. Aidan was also very accommodating with our food and drinks. Fantastic service all around!
Highly recommended for your mini treat in Singapore!
We read about this place online and visited during our Singapore stopover. What an amazing building! Apparently it was only built about 20 years ago but the details are so authentic and beautiful, a real tribute to the Art Deco style. We treated ourselves to cocktails and nibbles in the ground floor lounge bar area and it was all lovely, including our helpful, friendly waiter who was happy to spend time telling us about the building’s ethos and short history.
This was truly a gorgeous space with excellent cocktails,
This was truly a gorgeous space with excellent cocktails, and even better service. We were able to get a four top without a reservation, and hold the table for about an hour and a half. This was in a very very early evening, and if you're trying to visit without a reservation, I recommend going around that time. The cocktail list is massive, and I admit I was a bit overwhelmed . I went with the seasonal martini and I'm so glad I did! It was made with local citrus and incredible gin. I'm not even usually a martini drinker, but this converted me. Really wonderful stop during a trip to Singapore!
Swanky and sexy is how I describe this bar! I found it
Swanky and sexy is how I describe this bar! I found it difficult to get a reservation on the weekends so I booked on a Tuesday evening with no trouble. It's quite stunning and feels so upscale. The service was amazing and attentive. I tried the martini flight and loved it! As for food, we shared a few starters. I highly recommend the octopus that was perfectly cooked and the most delicious and creamy burrata I've ever had! I'll definitely be back!
Overwhelming !
Probably the grandest bar I visited. The ambience is stunning and overwhelming ! They seem to stock hundreds of different Gins. Menu is not as grand but they have a very good selection of food. Vegetarians will feel a bit restricted though. We had many dishes and most of them were truly delicious. Certainly fit for a special occasion this place needs to be booked well in advance. I am glad i visited !
Definitely a top 200 Bar in the world.
I had seen The Atlas Bar reviewed as in the Top 200 bars in the world so made a booking 3 months before we travelled to Singapore to be sure we got to experience the place. Without a doubt The ATLAS Bar is top notch, from the amazing decor as soon as you walk through to the service and food everything was fantastic. We loved that the area is all in one so you have lots of choice in where to sit but any table would be perfect. We decided on 4 share plates and that was perfect, the portions and quality were spot on. Throughout our meal various wait staff came up to have a nice chat and Rea was so kind and generous with her time, explaining the Bar and all the Gins that they stock is mind blowing. A wonderful experience which we have recommended to family and friends who are travelling to Singapore in the future.
If I could give this place less than one star I would.
The hostesses are unbelievably condescending. My husband and I wanted to have a drink at the bar. They wouldn't let us sit at bar. We are aware of dress code. We are in Singapore on business so we were appropriate. There was an event at the restaurant in another area and they wouldn't let anyone sit at the bar. This is not the first time this has happened. I will never come back to this restaurant and provide them. My heart earned money. Apparently they don't want it and I am so over Their attitude will never come back here again. Would advise that everyone stay away. They don't want your money!!
I had such an awesome experience here! I attempted to make
I had such an awesome experience here! I attempted to make a reservation here but they were booked out so decided to drop in based on many recommendations. Upon walking in, they were able to accommodate us at the bar (which is my preference anyway) and the entire restaurant is beautiful inside. There are no bad spots. The bartenders were all very knowledgeable, had great recommendations backed up by quality drinks, and I loved the food. He recommended truffle fries which I've had a million times which I like fries, love truffles, but it's typically a little truffle oil on some fries with Parmesan how I've experienced and leaves a lot to be desired. The fries came out covered in freshly grated truffle and were unbelievable. I'm not sure I've ever had fries and left wanting more until this experience. I had the escargot as well which I also really enjoyed and the flavor was different from what I'm used to. For drinks, I started with the martini flight. I'm a huge espresso martini girl (sorry bartenders) and this one did not disappoint. I also loved the citrus twist martini and the other one was good but mostly not my flavor profile. My friend had the French 75 which I love but typically ask to hold the syrup. The peach added made a nice twist but too sweet for my profile. Overall this was an incredible experience. I definitely recommend it.
Very beautiful bar inside a business center.
Gorgeous ceiling and seating areas. We got seated at the bar in the afternoon. After 5pm there is a strict dress code - be sure to look into it. Alyshia the bartender was fantastic! Super knowledgeable on the menu, able to work with our palate and what we like to guide us through what to order. Drinks were fantastic and served in beautiful glassware. We ordered the Enfluerage and Silver Bullet (this one was pre batched and came with a frozen muscat). With the World's largest gin collection, you definitely have to try a hand crafted gin cocktail. Must do stop on a Singapore trip!
The vibe here is spectacular.
It is so beautiful inside. The music, staff, and atmosphere here are great!! The espresso martini is one of the best ones I've had yet. I would highly recommend this spot.
Wow, what a beautiful bar! So glad we were able to check it
Wow, what a beautiful bar! So glad we were able to check it out while visiting Singapore. This bar is ranked #43 in the world's 50 best bars in 2024 which I think should've been ranked way higher. The atmosphere definitely heightened everything from the drinks to food to seating. We enjoyed the cocktails that we ordered, mainly focused on gin cocktails. For some odd reason, the warm madeleines were delicious there. Highly recommend!
Definitely come to this bar/restaurant in the early
Definitely come to this bar/restaurant in the early afternoon before the dress code is enforced. This is the largest library of gins in the world, I've been to the second largest in the Azores, which is lovely, but this bar was exquisite. Tried one of their suggested gin & tonics, then tried one of the 1,000 gin's from around the world. We had just been to Vietnam, so had another Vietnamese gin since I knew I liked it. Very lovely place, all inspired by Atlas Shrugged which was very cool.
This is by far my favorite bar in Singapore! The art deco
This is by far my favorite bar in Singapore! The art deco architecture is amazing and the music sets a perfect tone.
Made a reservation for 6 pm for our large party they
Made a reservation for 6 pm for our large party they accommodated us even though last minute. One person in our part had been here previously so we were filled in on having the gin semallia assist us in selections with pairings unfortunately this time it did not happen. We all ordered different gin martinis I had one barreled in Au and had strawberry jam and Basil notes. Although the drinks were amazing at $28 plus a drink I was expecting better service and it did feel short. The first round our waiter missed my drink and hence had a toast with an empty glass and the martini I ordered was obviously one no one orders as the confusion set in and again was late on arrival. Yes beautiful inside interior but lacking service at a big price I expect better.
Nice ambience. Good food. Excellent service personnel.
Came here to celebrate a birthday and had a really really good time. The food was good but the service was AWESOME. One person who made our day was Don who was polite and thoughtful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience than this. Thank you Don. We will see you again soon.
A memorable evening of cocktails in Singapore.
The ATLAS bar is a memorable venue for food and cocktails. Visited here with my wife when in Singapore and we had dessert (which was delicious) and several cocktails. Prices are as you may expect (not cheap) but it is well worth it for the Magnificent art-deco interior, great tunes, and first class service that makes you feel like Royalty. There is a dress code so don't turn up in shorts and flip-flops as you'll not be getting in.
Lost its soul
With an amazing building, with a huge cocktail list and good cocktails, this should be a no brain winner. Unfortunately we found the experience more like a hotel bar. There are lots of places that welcome your attendance.
Atlas disappoints on both fronts: service and food.
Despite initially admiring its art deco interior, our visit quickly turned sour when a mustached guard rudely shouted, "No tourists!" i tried to explain that we were a bit early for Atlas, but he just waved his hands dismissively, not even bothering to look at us. This is hands down the rudest service I've ever encountered. This blatant discrimination left me embarrassed, apologizing to my friends for bringing them to such a disrespectful and ill-mannered place. Their website promises warm, friendly service, but they judge you by your attire at the door. It's disrespectful, outdated and rude. The building may look fancy, but lacks any meaningful history. It's. Gatsby wanna be showroom. I tried to address these issues with management, but unfortunately, I ran out of time, leaving me even more frustrated. Long pants and shoes after 5 pm? In this heat? It's like a sauna out here. They clearly don't care about their customers. When customers are treated poorly based on their attire, it shows that Atlas prioritizes looks over genuine hospitality. This reflects a superficial mindset where image and status are more important than providing excellent service. Expecting people to dress high-end when they clearly aren't? It's just pretentious and conceited. It's a double standard to claim on your website that everyone is welcome while only treating those in luxury attire nicely. This is false advertising. Customers aren't here to be judged--who do you think you are? Atlas strives to be high-end but falls short with its snobbish attitude and mediocre offerings. If you're in Californian casual beach outfits or cruise fashion, don't even bother to enter the door. To them, it's a pleasant look. it's a zero-star experience for me!.
Stunning Art Deco Architecture And Great Cocktails!
This is quite an iconic bar in Singapore. The reviews are very good indeed. We decided to pop along because the cocktails sounded 'off the scale', as was the Art Deco architecture and service. My wife and I really wanted to go to this bar because of its reputation, and we were not disappointed. I started on an Espresso Martini, which was very different from your average. It had the same delicious taste, but had cinnamon and heavy/double cream on top. Completely quaffable and, may I say, a little Christmasy. A string of Manhattan cocktails followed for the table, which were also very palatable, with the use of Maker's Mark bourbon, which made them very smooth. As we were feeling a little peckish, we decided to order the burrata with roasted tomatoes, white anchovies and fresh, toasted bread. We also couldn't resist the shoestring fries sprinkled with cheese and accompanied by bacon aioli. The burrata was a complete, creamy deliciousness with the sweet tomatoes and crunchy bread. The anchovies were succulent and tangy with the light vinaigrette. French fries are just French fries, right? No, these shoestring fries were something else with the cheese on top and the bacon aioli. Service was excellent. Our server was noted as Shyamala T on the receipt. He was polite, helpful and efficient. The atmosphere speaks for itself. We attended for lunch, aka cocktails with nibbles, and it was a beehive of activity. I can only guess how busy it would get in the evening. The architecture is stunning, to say the least. A little pricy, but that is expected. Five cocktails came to just over $200 with service charge. Go here, even if just for a cocktail and to admire the architecture. You'll not be disappointed!
Want the WOW with a venue - then visit the ATLAS
Made reservation via email for our special anniversary. They kindly said they could fit us in at short notice and would be delighted to host us for our anniversary. This place is definitely a WOW so much to take in with the amazing decor. Art deco, Egyptian, gothic, dark, moody, romantic atmosphere all in one!!! Shown to our table and greeted with a complimentary champagne 🥂. Cocktail menu is quite extensive was hard to choose. Staff are very attentive and helpful. We were seated in the wingback chairs in the middle of the room so had a very good view of the whole area. Yes I took lots of photos. Food menu was ok …not overly impressed with it - decided on the rustic bread & truffle butter (3 small rolls) smoked king salmon and the fried butter chicken. Granted we went for the experience at the Atlas and the cocktails. Finally chose the Golden Scarab - divine and the 218 West - delicious. My partner likes his bourbon so Elijah Craig for him! (Not the bourbon that cost $580 per glass !!) you do pay for the bottled ‘filtered’ water each at $2. All up we enjoyed our special evening (was on the expensive side) but a once off on our holiday to Singapore. Staff also surprised us with a dessert, which made us feel very special to have our anniversary celebrated in this way. Definitely worth a visit.
Awesome bar
Great /best gin selection, cocktails are to die for , the flight of martini, superb, atmosphere and history behind this place is unmatched
World's 50 Best Bars.
Ranked no. 27 when we visited in 2023. Not Asia, but WORLD, mind you. ATLAS, after Ayn Rand's masterful book Atlas Shrugged (shrieks). Check out the decor details for tie ins, as well as art structures within and outside in the courtyard. The architecture, my friends! No doubt the ambiance heavily relies on it. Glamorous gothic art deco. Jaw dropping ceilings. And the monument we've been waiting for: THE GIN TOWER. 15 meters of over a thousand gin brands! Shrieking again. Dress code fiercely, maybe even snobbishly enforced. They will look you up and all the way down to your shoes. Might not be the only reason you don't get in. Reservations advised, though we did not have any. We got in by the skin of our teeth. There was room at the bar for merely an hour. If you only get one shot, take it! Bartenders and their menus lived up to the hype and made me feel like I was in a modern 1920s dream. I love this bar as much as I sunk into the book. Just WOW.
Afternoon tea
Came with an out of town visitor friend for afternoon tea. Buzzing atmosphere with lots of tourists. Perfect for picture taking and very instagram worthy.
I love a swanky bar and this place fits the bill.
Please, dress up for the occasion- this is not the place to show up in shorts and sneakers. Definitely recommend making a reservation, though we got lucky scoring two seats at the bar when we walked in early afternoon on a weekday. The art deco bar has bottles stretching up the wall as far as you can see. Menu is full of tasty options, including several thoughtful N/A. Glassware is pretty and the drinks are tasty. The bar food menu matches the vibe- lobster roll and fries were lovely. Recommend!
Faultless and fabulous!
This was our venue not just for a birthday drink but to mark the start of our first trip out of Australia post-pandemic (we have been a bit slow to stop enjoying Australia….), so we had everything crossed for a good night, and ‘good’ was a massive understatement. It was absolutely phenomenal!!, especially how the 5-odd staff members who assisted us during our two hour visit looked after us so well. They have been taught exceptionally well how about to give guests the ‘feel good factor’!! The birthday boy enjoyed a couple of complimentary treats but that is not what produced this review of high praise - we’d have been on cloud nine just relishing the exquisite surrounds and high quality food/beverage without any freebies! They did seem genuinely chuffed that we had quite literally jumped off a plane, freshened up and bee-lined straight to Atlas to get our holiday ‘party started’. And it was a party and a true feast for all the senses!!! Added fun and variety was being seated initially at lounge table/chairs in the middle of the room and then later being able to shift to have a stint up at the magnificent bar too. Stunning!! Thank you for a wonderful holiday kick off.
A spectacular place to enjoy a cocktail.
This bar is spectacular to see. Even people who didn't come in were taking pictures of it as they passed because the decor is so eye catching. While the cocktails aren't cheap, around 20-25 SGD each, they are delicious. The staff are very knowledgeable so if the menu has too much choice for you tell them your tastes and they'll recommend something. Book ahead though - this bar has limited availability for walk ins and definately no availability if you want to eat. You'll need to reserve about a month in advance.
Super overrated!! And would someone, for the love of God,
Super overrated!! And would someone, for the love of God, teach this freaking server how to pour a freaking beer??? Took 10 min for that head to go down. $68 for this. This place is terrible LOL. There's far more to being a good bar/restaurant than overrated interior decor. And when my beer is completely gone, my plates pushed away, WHY does it take 15-20 min for someone to check in?? Absolutely horrendous service, so many other amazing places in Singapore this place is just a tourist trap.
This bar is on the World's Top 50 bar list! Definitely
This bar is on the World's Top 50 bar list! Definitely would come back again! All the food and drink are amazing! People are friendly there and patient. While it's my first time been there, they give us a good recommendation of the food and drinks. The furniture is great too. Music is soft and gentle. Besides they keep the place very clean. Tips: They have a strict dress code so make sure you wear proper before go there.
The perfect spot for a memorial occasion
Superb location for a memorable lunch, afternoon tea or just drinks. We went on our wedding anniversary and the staff were fantastic. The food and drink were all first rate although you can spend ages delving through the gin list!
Elevated Experience
There are many outstanding bars in Singapore but Atlas stood out with not only a comprehensive drink selections but the unparalleled ambience. Their gin selection and choices of cocktails were impressive. Service was attentive and friendly with a smile. Advanced booking is needed due to its popularity, expect maybe try walking in later part of the evening. We brought our overseas friend over for a post dinner drink around 10pm and stayed till it closed at midnight, and we did enjoy the sense of space quietness, with fewer people. They also do lunch and afternoon tea (alcoholic) if one prefers. We had a nice chill time and it’s a place that leaves nice memories.
A beautiful bar to visit
Although built recently the design of the bar is 1900s. Beautiful seating and lighting. All kinds of drinks especially cocktails.
A classy spot for date night drinks
We were recommended this bar by friends who said it was the perfect spot for romantic drinks during our honeymoon. The bar oozes sophistication and is beautiful - frescos line the ceiling and it has all the trimmings of an old style hotel lobby bar. The drinks were delicious and not overly priced - we had a French 75, their spin on a citrus g&t, a gimlet and negroni. All were really well made and smooth to drink. We also ordered the shoe string fries which were a perfect accompaniment. The staff were attentive but did not hover, and were polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion and will go back when next visiting Singapore.
Atlas Shrugged revisited with enjoyable and fulfilling drinks snacks.
Nice time with family for afternoon Tea with drinks and lovely servings of quite few varied fulfilling snacks. Reminded me of Atlas Shrugged Novel Ayn Rand.
Amazing beyond imagination
Oh the grandeur! Hold your heart steady as you enter Atlas and get transported to another world of luxury and sophistication. The service is just as good and the bar team is solid. Mr. Hata was waiting on us that day and explaining to us everything about the bar, the drinks, recommendations based on everyone personal taste etc. Side note- besides all the cocktails that were fab we also had some great bar food to munch on here. This one shouldn’t be missed but make sure you make a reservation way in advance.
A place to visit
This place is so fantastic. Feels like Gatsby when entering into the place. We went here to have a Gin & Tonic and to relax for a while. I really like to sit here and just be in the moment
Class, architecture, cocktails and vintage.
Me and hubby were on a bar hop of Asia's best bars. Atlas bar is like the holy grail of architecture, history and everything vintage. From their cocktail to their wait staff, to service to everything in between is a world apart. Epitome of class on the way everything is done. we had a flight of martinis and it was just perfect. Being there is an experience in itself. It may look like a very intimidating space but let me tell you the staff is of the warmest heart. Just dress up before you go, such a classy place is justified the dress code to follow.
Instagrammed out
Noveau bar which attracts the likes of a “special occasion” diner. A wine list like a tome. Cool places have sophisticated wine lists which aren’t the size of a book. The building is about 20 years old and the only thing impressive about the building is the over instagrammed spirit bar. The service was one of a waiter who is fed up with their special occasion diners who possibly aren’t the most pleasant consumer. Go early in the night before the end of the shift has worn the staff out.
Recommend- would need to book if not solo
Stunning bar with a really nice vibe. Not pretentious at all. The staff were lovely especially a big shout out to Natasha who made me many different drinks just on chatting to me which I think is a massive skill to be appreciated!
This is on the World's Top 50 bar list for a reason.
Talk about swanky and cool! We were in Singapore and didn't have a reservation- since we were in the haji lane area, we decided to pop in to see if we could get a seat. Luckily, we showed up in the afternoon, so it was a bit slower, and they were able to get us seats at the bar after about a 45min wait. Dress code only applies after 5pm as well, which we were happy about since we had been walking around Singapore in more casual attire the whole day. As the bar with the most number of gins in the world, it's clear what kind of spirit you're going to be drinking mostly. Though, they do have others as well - I actually got their old fashioned, though with a look of disappointment from the bartender. Old fashioned was fantastic. My wife got the gin and tonica, which was incredible! The bartenders were very knowledgeable- making custom drinks based on flavor profiles I requested. For example, they used a lemongrass-infused gin for one of my cocktails, which was great! Definitely would come back again and glad to know it's possible to get some seats on short notice.
Great staff.
Drinks are done with precision. Old fashion with chocolate flavored cherries are one of my favorites. Wife had the orange blossom.
This place is a joke, they look down at you if you not
This place is a joke, they look down at you if you not dress nice, is nobody here but the receptionist told us 45 minutes wait, what the heck. Seriously!!!!! That's only because we are wearing t shirt and a Jean.
Stunning decor.
You'll walk in and the design of the bar will literally take your breath away. I spent a fair amount of time just slowly taking in the design elements and of course took a ton of pictures to commemorate my visit to a bar that made the world's best list (and I can see why). I was prepared, lol. I made a reservation over 90 days in advance, having been warned that they get booked up almost immediately. The service was just right. Attentive enough, not overbearing. The perfect balance. Also, they have the most delicious espresso martini I have ever tasted. Hands down. You must come here for a cocktail experience to remember!
Wow, this spot made my jaw drop.
The interior design was amazing. Note that you have to wear pants and close toed shoes. For our group of 8, we were seated within 30 minutes. Staff was super attentive. Perfect for a top cocktail bar.
We absolutely loved our visit to the Atlas bar in
We absolutely loved our visit to the Atlas bar in Singapore, which was named one of the best bars in the world in 2021! This 1920s inspired venue with art deco decor has beautiful, vaulted ceilings and an impressive collection of alcohol! We enjoyed two cocktails and I especially loved the espresso martini here! The bartender also treated us to a little dessert to celebrate our honeymoon! If you're in the Singapore area, this bar is a must visit!

That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

* PerceptiveWash44 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to PerceptiveWash44 for any questions Peter may have as PerceptiveWash44 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* PerceptiveWash44 now uses their connections at ATLAS Singapore to secure the table.
