Very good cuisine in a nice ambience
There were four of us in the Aromata restaurant. The welcome was warm and we were accompanied to our table. After the aperitif we decided on the "small menu". It was so good and the portions were so generous that we unfortunately had to forgo the cheese. The individual courses of the menu were perfect in taste and appearance. Very good wine list. We really enjoyed it and we all agreed that we would come back.

we had absolutely one of the best meals ever, the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was to die for. They make their own vermouth and gins and i had one of the best dry martinis i have ever tasted. not overpriced at all considering the standard of food and service, i have had meals in London at twice the price that did not match up.
Be the first to ReplyLooks nice but doesn’t taste that much
Looks nice on the plate but it doesn’t taste that much. I expected more for this price level. In addition they took 10€ for a small piece of butter! Very greedy! I expect butter to be included with a menu of 40€. Too much trying to sell extras in the start

Contrary to the last reviews here, the service was very good. The food was excellent, perhaps not as refined in detail as at Marc Fosh, but consistently at a very high level (see my review of Marc Fosh). Very good wine accompaniment, only the explanations could be a little more standardized,,,
Be the first to ReplyHas one star, only gets one star from us
Disappointing from start to finish. Service was OK, but no more. We both expected a lot more from the food - a large menu. The soup was cold and was served again after 10 minutes, cold again... We had to ask for cutlery, the main course was two very small pieces of beef, dry and tough. We fled the restaurant before dessert, I can't describe it any other way. Two couples at the tables next to us were just as unimpressed. How this restaurant got a star and kept it is a complete mystery to me. Never again, unfortunately we can't recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyNot value for money
Ok the restaurant provides a good atmosphere although tables are a bit too close to each other. The more disappointing is the food. We had a 7 course dinner but most of the dishes were somewhat tasteless. Not once a really wow experience. Flat. It is a pitty because when spending almost 300 euros on a meal you simply expect more.
Be the first to ReplyVery good but not great
We have been to this restaurant several times. This evening there was only a smaller and a larger version of the menu. We opted for the smaller version with the additional course. This additional course was not particularly tasty and, in our opinion, much too expensive at €18. When the bill came, it unfortunately left a negative taste in the evening. The individual courses were very tasty except for the dessert. The dessert did not go well with the previous courses. Nor was it particularly tasty. We opted for wine by the glass, which turned out to be much more expensive than a bottle of wine on the bill. The recommended wines were very different. The light white wine was excellent. The red wine was not to our taste at all. The service was friendly and courteous. Despite the above criticism, we will come back.

A choice of 2 tasting menus with a wine pairing. Was really looking forward to this but it was just ok. For €170 pp I expected more.
Be the first to ReplyFriendly service and good food
We were here a couple of nights before Christmas. Surprisingly, there was only one other table occupied. The interior décor was slightly under-stated, but we were greeted warmly and well looked after for the entire evening. The food was delicious and well-plated. I had the best fois gras ever and we even ordered a cheese platter on top of the set menu. The portions were perfect. Thank you.

We went with a group of friends to eat, we chose the 3-course menu option plus the game specialties that they proposed that week as the star dish. Totally recommendable experience, attentive and qualified staff, unbeatable quality-price. Keep it up!
Be the first to ReplyWe loved our lunch experience
We had stumbled upon Aromata in some blog and it seemed like a good idea to have lunch there. It turns out that the idea was better than "good", it was excellent! A very nice location, creative and modern interpretation of Majorcan cuisine -- at an unbelievably attractive price. Since the 3-course lunch offers three options for each course, the two of us had the chance to taste six dishes -- and we liked them all. Very attentive, unpretentious service. Obviously we cannot judge the full dinner menu, but for lunch we very much doubt that there is a better option in Palma!
Be the first to ReplyGreat little place with creative and high quality food.
A nice place with modern ambience and creative, high quality food. A little quite for kids. Still, baby chair and kids menu are available. Reservation recommended.
Be the first to ReplyDon't recommend!
Don’t even waste your money and time with this restaurant. I booked a reservation for 6 people over a month before the date, we flew all the way from New York and drove another hour from Port De Soller for a booking that I had what looked like a confirmation email for from ABC Mallorca but the hostest said she couldn’t seat us because she had not confirmed nor rejected our reservation with ABC Mallorca. She pulled my reservation up, and had proof that I had made the reservation. She said she had received the email but didn’t reject it. I had an email that led me to believe I had a table. They use ABC Mallorca but ignore reservation requests. I never received ANY communication that the reservation wasn’t made. She wasn’t even apologetic for her mistake. It was a waste, guess a 4 star review for a high end restaurant says it all. She didn’t take any responsibility over neither accepting or rejecting the reservation and was rude and disrespectful to our group. I would never come here again because of her I don’t care how good the food is.
Be the first to ReplyCan’t believe how bad it was
I can’t remember the last time I spat out food at a restaurant. Let alone one that claims to be Michelin. Just avoid and save yourself the money (it was incredibly expensive for food that was often inedible or disgusting).
Be the first to ReplyA hidden gem
When you’re in Palma, find this beautiful restaurant. In an old townhouse. Whith an enthousiastic and creative cooking team. Wow!

Nice relation quality price
We went there with some friends. The service was very good and we we nicely recommend for the choose of wine.
The food , meat and fish, was excellent. We really enjoy the evening. No doubts at all, we will be back. Don't forget to book your table.
Beautiful building but that’s all!!
Had a terrible experience m, atmosphere very uncomfortable, food not good and only rose they had in stock on the menu was 85€ - service wasn’t great either. Overall plenty of other restaurants in palma that are a lot better
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointing
We arrived with high expectations having read about how beautiful the setting and food were.
The atmosphere was quite stiff and formal. We ordered the 8 course taster menu which started of ok but nothing amazing. The clam dish was very grainy like there was an undissolved power in it and left a gritty lining on your teeth - we asked if it was meant to be like that and was told yes! We thought it was inedible, the Hake was undercooked and foam sauce bland, chicken and banana was a weird combo - all in all we felt it was trying to hard with the flavours and textures!
The most annoying part of the evening ( as well as still being hungry) was being told that they had ran out of the rose wine we wanted off the wine menu and having to choose one double the price, then being told they had no more of that one when we wanted to order another bottle but they had an even more expensive one . When we said no, miraculously a bottle appeared! We got the impression he wasn’t being truthful and wanting us to spend more than we would have liked ( we bought 3 bottles of rose at €85 each!!)
Needless to say we won’t be returning as plenty more restaurants in palma that are better
