The only thing good about this restaurant is the location and the look/ambience. Our food and plating was just average. I had the roasted Halibut for $27 the fish was cooked correctly but the plate didn’t wow me considering the restaurant is a Top Chef winner. My wife had the Crispy Rice $19 again no wow factor. Our son had a chicken plate for $34 he said he liked it. The problem we had was our server Bran, he was a nice person, but he over charge us $20 on our bottle of wine at dinner. They have a standard automatic 19% service charge, which I don’t like for any restaurants to do. I found the error the next day. At 5pm when the place opened, I called the restaurant directly. The hostess told me to take a photo of my receipt and email it to Gwenth Burgos in accounting. 3-days went by over a weekend nothing happened. I then found the restaurant didn’t open again till Wednesday, so I tried calling the hotel directly Monday. I got lost in their answering service loop getting no live person only voice mail ends. After a couple times of trying to get someone to help me, I finally got the front desk, they then said they didn’t have anyone named Gwenth Burgos in accounting. Frustrated and getting no-were, I ended the call. After 20-mins, I called again, using reservations to a live person who forward me again to the front desk. I got a new person and they helped me in finding Brett Anderson the FD Manager for the hotel and restaurant’s. Brett was very professional and did a great job helping me. Today, (5-days later) I found accounting did give me back a credit for the $20 wine cost over charge, plus TX sales tax, but they didn’t give me any credit for the added 19% service charge on the $20. So for a average meal/dinner with family our server (Bran) got a 22% tip. After 1-week, a couple emails and many calls. This is why I’m giving the restaurant a bad review. I’d be very careful going to this restaurant it’s not worth it.
