Very good food.
But the parking and the added fees to my bill didn't leave a good impression on me. I ended up parking in the parking deck up the hill, because it seemed silly to pay someone for self-parking. We were seated promptly (at a wobbly table) and we ordered some appetizers. It took about 20-30 minutes for appetizers which was a bit odd, but my cousin and friend enjoyed the lamb chops and the shrimp. We ordered cocktails and I ordered the lemon drop with Tito's vodka. I also went ahead and ordered the jerk chicken for dinner. The lemon drop was good but not great. A little tart. But the jerked chicken, WOW!! So good, savory, and spicy. It was falling off the bone! I was disappointed that it was just rice with no peas but the jasmine rice was steamed nicely and added an interesting flavor. The cabbage was delicious and crispy. When we got our bills, things got a little odd. There is a 7% credit card processing fee, on top of automatic 20% gratuity (there was only 3 of us). So you will without question spend $100 per person, at a minimum, once you consider parking and all of these fees. Oh, an up charge for Tito's vodka. Go figure. I likely won't be back because of the hassle but people from out of town like to come here.
Be the first to ReplyI'm just really upset the oxtail pasta is gone.
... Replaced with chicken or shrimp Alfredo you can literally get anywhere. WHY?!?!
Be the first to ReplyGenerally speaking, this is your typical Atlanta restaurant.
You might drive right past it, parking will annoy you, expect high prices, lots of people and all the other typical things we deal with. Down to the specifics....surprisingly I do like this place. Mainly for two reasons: 90s RnB and good food. Idk if they have the same DJ every night or they always play this type of music but I live for 90s RnB and this was 90% of the playlist last night so I was in my zone. The food is GOOD! I only ordered the jerk chicken which comes with rice and beans and cabbage. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Another person ordered the oxtail, seafood curry and Turkey wings. Everything looked delicious and everyone enjoyed their food. We barely spoke while we were eating so you know it was good. Our waiter was amazing! Great personality, attentive, friendly, hilarious and all around provided excellent customer service. He really added to the positive experience. Things I didn't like... $15 valet only parking. One of the things I hate about Atlanta. They wouldn't seat us until everyone in our party arrived. We were only waiting for 1 person. Eventually they allowed us to sit because we were waiting for 30 minutes but I don't like when restaurants do this. Gratuity is added. I'm not a fan of this but I would've given a good tip anyway because our waiter was great. They charge you a credit card processing fee. Idk what to say about this but it's BS. If you're celebrating anything and bring in your own cake, they charge you $25. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard and just bad customer service imo. The drinks are way too expensive to taste like juice. I didn't taste a drop of Henny and didn't feel anything. The food is good, but honestly it is wayyyy overpriced. I am a foodie and one thing I'll splurge on is food but this is too expensive imo. But overpriced meals at restaurants is another thing that is common is Atlanta. Overall this place isn't bad. This would be a fun spot for ladies night out or brunch. I wouldn't mind returning but it wouldn't be a regular spot for me.

Overall I had a positive experience here! Made a reservation easily online for 4. Day of we pulled in and valeted for $15. We were on time and sat right away. The inside is really pretty with good music. Our server was nice and told us specials but after didn't order any cocktails or appetizers she seemed less interested in us (no water refills, 1 check in during the meal) but thankfully we didn't have any complaints. The food came out hot and didn't take too long. I got the jerk chicken entree and it was tasty and a huge portion size. Overall I wouldn't rush back but if someone invited me I'd come back.
Be the first to ReplyCame in solo and sat at the bar.
This is a pretty cool spot. The parking is slightly a headache but they do have valet which I did not use and parked my own car around the backside. When I walked in DJ was playing some nice tunes. The volume was reasonable and I was able to have a conversation with those sitting around me at the bar. In front of the DJ booth is a shelf of records apparently the DJ uses as well to spend. I thought this was neat. The service was decent and the staff was pleasant. One of the servers from the tables suggested to me the oxtail sandwich and I'm glad I went with it because it was mad good! The bread was light and buttery and the oxtails tender. I would definitely come back and try some other things on the menu next time I'm in town.
Be the first to ReplyYou'll love the food and the ambience.
They have a speak easy downstairs in the restaurant. I will definitely be back
Be the first to ReplyThis was a nice little vibe and the food was good .
They had music going , i believe a actual dj was there but i couldn't really see but the music was good and we had a great waiter we had Maurice he was so chill and very helpful he pretty much recommended us what to try and suggested a tasteful drink based on what i was looking for kudos to him thanks again we really enjoyed ourselves and I'll definitely be back specially because they were not stingy on the drinks, plus they had a cute little swing outside to capture a nice picture of you would like . I'll definitely be back

Great food good Service highly recommend!! Ambiance superb! They had live music and parking was easy.
Be the first to ReplyThis was my second and last time here.
You can see on my receipt what I had (my new receipt had the cabbage deducted because I never got it). The food was good but definitely overpriced, the vibe and ambiance was cool, and our server was cool also. Reason's why I will not return is first the credit card processing fee that I know was not there the first time, and it's a ridiculous fee to charge your customers when that's the cost of doing business. Food is over priced, and you spend $15 for valet before you even get in the door.

Food was OK but I struggled to understand why a mandatory 20% tip plus a credit card processing fee were added to my check!! And it was a takeout order. Why do you do this? If you are going to enforce gratuity, then let your service match the fee!!! It's not that flipping difficult. My first and last time for sure.

Jordan C was our server and made our experience! Easily some of the best service I've had in Atlanta in a LONG time. Shout out to him. Outside of that this place is really cool and vibey. The ambiance helps curate the experience and the food and drinks are delicious! The jerk chicken was so good! A little spicy but really flavorful. The curry and roti were also delicious as well!
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance is good.
The food was a bit pricey for the quality and portions. I ordered cornbread, ribs, and rice and peas. I also ordered oxtail gravy on my rice. They brought out about 3 tablespoons of gravy in a small ramekin. It wasn't enough so I requested more. The bill showed they charged us $8 ($2 per 3 tablespoons of gravy). While I think it's distasteful to charge for a condiment or accompaniment if you will, I think the server should have informed us that it was an extra charge. What was even more frustrating was the gravy was lacking a bit of flavor as were the rice and beans. They were out of so many things. I was disappointed with this visit.

First things first Oxtails we're hard had to eat with a fork and knife and if you know about oxtails you know they were not tender but HARD. They charge a credit card processing fee of close to $5 , because clearly this is all about squeezing a buck out of every transaction. Then they tell you well Amex fees are increasing. Even though I'm not using an amex card. 20% automatic gratuity Small portions. Bland food. Credit card processing fees. 20% automatic gratuity. Find a better caribe as restaurant in Atlanta this one isn't it.
Be the first to ReplyWent with my babe for Valentine's Day.
Experience was okay and what you would expect for the busy over-hyped day. Very LOUD, tables very close together. Food was hot, but not memorable. Sort of one note in terms of flavors. Parking was $15 ouch! I likely won't return.
Be the first to ReplyI had such an amazing experience.
The food was everything. the service was top notch. They didnt miss!! From the hostess to the waitress to the manager everyone was great !! I will be back.
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance was great.
Service was excellent. Loved the old school throwback artists and decor. The food was a little too salty. But the Caribbean menu was a hit. It was my cousins bday and they made her feel special.
Be the first to ReplyI went on Tuesday night so it wasn't crowded.
Cute little place with a nice vibe. It has some good music playing but it wasn't too loud. The waiter was really sweet and attentive even though gratuity is automatically added at 20%. The crab dip was chef's kiss. The cornbread was good. The oxtail pasta was good. The mac and cheese was good. My friend didn't really feel the Island Seafood curry but I think it was decent. Drinks were on point as well. I will go back.
Be the first to ReplyHonestly I cannot rave about this place enough.
The food was so so good. Literally some of the best food I've ever had. I'm Jamaican so I was deff judging the Caribbean dishes ! From the curry chicken dip to the oxtail pasta omg everything was so good. The drinks were really well made as well. We sat at the bar because seating was very limited. It was a busy night & we didn't have reservations but the staff accommodated us well. The energy & vibes were unmatched. Loved the Afro Caribbean mix. The music was on point. It was just overall a good vibe! The only thing I would advise is if you get to go food to check to make sure everything is there. I ordered some extra food to take home & they deff forgot my sides which I didn't notice until after I got home. I will charge that to the fact that they were closing & maybe rushing. Also it was kind of tight in there because it's a little small but overall loved this place
Be the first to ReplyAll I can say is WOW! I made a reservation for 6pm.
Our table was ready by 6:10pm. We were seated with drinks by 6:20pm. By 8pm I was on my way back home. The atmosphere is AMAZING and the food is EVERYTHING! I usually screen a restaurant before I take my husband; I will definitely be taking him back very soon. I could not have asked for a better dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyFood amazing.
Service good. Ambiance amazing. Dj LIT. Enjoyed the restaurant on a Saturday with the wife. We really enjoyed everything. Drinks are poured just right. Food is speedy. Food is on point. Did I say the music was great?! The Dj played all the hits. Hip hop fans will appreciate the experience. Only issue I had was our server was trying to run our bill up since they charge an automatic gratuity of 20%. We asked for regular tap water and she said they didn't offer it yet we see ppl at the bar with regular tap water. Not cool management! Not cool!!!

We had alot of food forgot to take pictures of everything, sorry! FOOD: 9/10 for the Jerk chicken with the kale and rice and peas(chicken is spicy, fyi), 5/10 for the oxtail pasta, 8/10 for the Island seafood curry, 7/10 for the crab dipSERVICE: 7/10 our server was rushing us to order and we only had a party of 5, soo im not sure what the rush was about.AMBIANCE: 8/10 real chill "apartment like" vibes. hence the name I guess lol. Music was 8/10 around the time we went, which was 7pm-9pm****SIDENOTE: self parking is $10 and Valet is $15 (what a joke!) and parking is limited. You have to walk up a flight of steps to get to the front door(just fyi) . Also they only you to reverse a table for 2 hours, soo be on time! They DO NOT split the bill! Everything is on 1 ticket. However, if you want to split the check they ONLY split evenly, and not for what YOU actually ordered(keep that in mind) OVERALL: I will give them a 3.5 stars(which is like a 7.5-8 out of 10)

Always an amazing g time this was our second time with a large group her and Aerial was our server. He was knowledgeable of the menu and prompt with service. The food was awesome as always but if you are a spice wimp don't get the jerk chicken. It's great but it's spicy!
Be the first to ReplyApt 4B I'm writing to express my perceptions of this
Apt 4B I'm writing to express my perceptions of this restaurant and its services. I was at Piedmont Park and decided that I wanted to have salmon for dinner and looked for restaurants where I could obtain it and of course I specifically looked for black owned restaurants. It appeared that it would be the most convenient. Even though it was a little further than I had imagined, that was actually OK, because I had made up my mind what I wanted to have for dinner.A few of my other concerns are:1. I requested medium cooked salmon, but it was cooked well/firm and almost dry. 2.The food should have been put in a divided container to prevent me having a slush meal. While parts of it were tasty, I really did not expect to have my mashed potatoes integrated with the kale nor to have the sauce for the salmon spread through out the container which therefore affected the taste of not only the salmon, but the kale and the mashed potatoes. Sauce was everywhere and not relegated to the salmon. 3. I did not request a price for the food when I placed my order by phone and I really didn't think about it. This is not to say, money is not a matter of concern, but I just knew what I wanted. The addition of the $14.80 (20%) gratuity is unimaginable for the facts mentioned above and those services actually rendered, that did not include washable silverware, use of a chair, glass of water, table & table cloth (washable) or complimentary waiter services; No repeated host visits to the table to inquire about comfortability, taste, etc.. A gratuity of this amount should have included heating pads to ensure that the dinner would still be at least very warm when I arrived home, if not absolutely hot. The cost of the items (paper and plastic) issued with the meals are a considerable savings to your restaurant. 4. Gratuities are for services above and beyond and there were none.5. After paying for my order, I took a seat at the bar, and the bartender never acknowledged my presence, never offered me services, and the other two ladies at the bar were not acknowledged or offered services. I think it was a matter of insuring that "happy hour" prices would not be in effect as it was just 3-5 minutes past the hour by this time. Subsequently, I left, but I did mention this to the host as I was leaving. If I had "eaten in" I would have sent the meals back so I could enjoy the salmon more. I should be refunded the gratuity as there is no way to make amends for the meal. The chef should take note of this, or the person submitting the order should do it right.Let me say that when I looked at the restaurant, it was very appealing and very nice from the outside. When I entered, I was even more pleasantly surprised to see the decor and the arrangement of the spaces, etc. I also inquired about private a dining space and was told that it was available upstairs. That was really nice to know because from time to time I do have dinner parties and look for places to entertain. I had come to pick up my carry out meals but once I was there, I decided I would sit at the bar for a moment and have a cocktail.I paid for my meals then sat down, and while I was sitting two young ladies approached the bar and took seats. I must say that finding this location was quite difficult. I called the restaurant twice to get further instructions because my GPS indicated that I had arrived when in fact, I was not actually there because I couldn't see it and there was no way of knowing that it was on the backside of the building with a Peachtree Road address. My GPS continue to ping indicating and stating that "you have arrived". It would be most helpful if your website indicated the actual location of your establishment. Please accept my comments as instructive and not denigrating. If YOU don't know, then YOU cannot fix it. I have sent a text and an email to the owners the very next day 2/9/23 with no response.Regards,Patricia J.

Apt 4B is a Caribbean restaurant serving great food and good vibes! Food: Delicious! There were a lot of great options on the menu, so at first it was a little hard to choose, until I noticed the lady's plate at the next table. It looked mouth watering (and the waitress said the jerk chicken was really good tonight - I guess that means the right chef was there) so I went with that! I ordered the cornbread appetizer and the Jerk Chicken meal, which comes with kale, rice and peas. She was right, the chicken was REALLY good, and I'm sure it would have been even better if I didn't wait until I was full (and completely done with everything else) to touch it! The cornbread and kale had me in a chokehold, and so did the rice and peas which I dipped in the jerk sauce! And to think, I originally tried to sub those rice & peas for the mashed potatoes (because at most places it can be a bit dry), but I'm glad I didn't. BTW - no substitutions. Order the food the chef has curated. Now, I knew the cornbread would be good because this is the sister restaurant of Ms. Icey's Kitchen and iykyk... but what I don't know is what in the world they're doing to that kale! I've never in my life had kale that good. My friend ordered the short rib with mashed potatoes and we enjoyed that too. Atmosphere: It's a vibe! The outside actually does look kind of like an apartment building when you walk up. Inside is decorated with photo frames of Jet Magazine covers, black art, etc. There's a DJ. We were there around 7:30, so we were a little early for the dancing portion, but I think that gets started around 9pm. Service: Great! Parking: Tonight was valet only, no self parking. $15That's where it lost a star for me. Overall: I loved Apt 4B! If you want a restaurant with good food and a vibe, this is it!
