Wonderful
This was a fantastic experience. The service and staff were all amazing. The food was thoughtful, and each dish was a welcome surprise. We went for my father‘s birthday, and he said it was a meal that he will remember for the rest of his life. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a special dining experience in Columbus.

Agni is a great addition to the Columbus restaurant scene and I was glad to go for the first time last week to celebrate a birthday. The food is excellent, and we got a tasting menu which I was afraid might not be completely filling. It was 6 courses but more like 10-12 with a variety of additional snacks and surprises delivered. It was actually a bit too much food- by the end I was hoping they would stop bringing food because I was so full. My favorite dish was the potato snack (so much flavor), and I appreciated that they had a vegetarian tasting menu along with a meat one. You can further customize other options as well (meat alternatives, eggplant, etc). A couple of awkward moments were at the beginning: they offered a small shot sized glass of vegetable broth as a welcoming. The timing of that was awkward and it was an odd drink. The first snack was a bite sized shell you pour liquid into. The size was quite large and not really a single bite experience. The service was excellent. Everyone is super knowledgeable and friendly. My only note was that the dress felt quite casual for a place that seemed to be a nicer fine dining experience. I guess it's a bit of a high brow mix with a down to earth sensibility? Make sure to check out the bathroom while you are there!

Everything was perfect - The meal was to die for. The staff was amazing and paid attention to every single detail. Very knowledgeable about each dish and drink/wine offered.

Unreasonable hospitality meets delightful cuisine with matched wine pairing. My husband and I recently celebrated his birthday at the grillside chef's counter and had a fantastic time. Read all the other recommendations for specifics but don't miss visiting this restaurant. It really is the best food experience in Columbus.

The best food I have ever had in my life! Everything was beautiful on presentation and taste. Service was top notch! I would highly recommend Agni to anyone! The cocktails were even amazing! Heading back with friends in June!

As huge fans of Chef Avishar's other establishments past and present, we were not disappointed with our meal at Agni. Drinks, dinner, and service were excellent. Perfect celebration for a special occasion for an adventurous eater.
Amazing food and service
This place was amazing! Enjoyed every dish. It’s more Indian fusion. Make sure to have at least 4 hours on hand as it might take a while! Will definitely come back again if I even visit Columbus.
Spectacular evening spent for a birthday dinner.
Absolutely worth a couple of hours with this tasting menu. Don't be nervous, if you don't care for something or have any allergies. This restaurant will make sure you are absolutely satisfied. I am not a fan of lamb, the server offered me the pescatarian option for the dumpling. I also don't care for goat, but don't care for octopus, so they subbed the vegetarian option for the pasta dish for me. So accommodations are something they strive to do yo make sure you have the true Agni experience. The ambiance is calm, relaxed and welcoming. They do not rush you through courses. Be prepared to get extra courses. There are surprises all along the way. Please stop in the bathroom at some point. It is worth the trip, the servers even tell you to take a trip even if you don't need to. Every person we experienced in Agni treated us like we were the only two people there!! Thank you to each one of you and thank you for making the birthday a special day!! Every dish was absolutely mouth watering. This chef is one of a kind! We are lucky to have them. We will definitely visit again.
We dined here for our birthdays & the staff was so lovely.
They went above & beyond to interact with us, explain the dishes, and accommodate my gluten allergy. They did a lovely job recommending a bottle of wine for us to accompany the tasting menu. The setup of the restaurant was really lovely and our table was private enough that I felt like we could just enjoy the meal together. Sometimes restaurants have tables way too close together. At the end they surprised us with some treats for our birthdays & I found it so thoughtful. It is one of my favorites in Columbus.

Never have I ever…
I spent a recent evening at the grill side bar in the kitchen of Agni. It was one of the most awesome dining experiences I've ever had, and def the best dining experience in a quarter century of calling Cbus home. Every person I engaged, from the maitre’d (Colin), F&B manager (Jared), Sommeliers (Matt & Beth), Server (Carli), Sous-Chef JJ and Grillmaster Chef Nick were so welcoming, friendly, kind and generous. A tremendous team of talented people! My 6-course menu exponentially grew to 14 with delicious snacks and treats magically appearing throughout the evening. 2 of my courses, the Panipuri & Mac salad transported me to travel memories which is pretty incredible! I relished them. The “bread and butter” course was hands down the best e-v-a-h! A sourdough bread with a garlic confit running through it along with a quenelle of emulsified duck fat (the butter) and an amazing pile of crumbled garam masala infused potota chips to dip the bread and butter, in. Wow! Just wow! The dumpling (course) in a chili oil and sweet soy shot with the duck skewer topped with a mint chutney was better than anything Din Tai Feng ever served me….and that is saying A LOT! The dessert pistachio butter gelato was so rich in pistachio flavor that (just) the quenelle hit the spot (along with the flan & Gulab jamun). I could ramble on and on, but you’d get bored with my superlative adjectives. Just book a table and go! Do not delay. Dining at Agni is an event you will not regret!

This is fine dining at its best.
Why best? Taste, ambiance (not stuffy!), service and menu flexibility. It is hard to decide which one item we liked most from the 6-course tasting menu. But the tomato soup was the star of the show for me; it had a little kick to it. For my husband, from the snack menu, he loved the chili fry, but also the duck course. I enjoyed the pistachio gelato at the end; a little salty and a little sweet. Perfect! Some notable things about Agni: unlike other fine dining course tasting menus, they offer flexibility (see the main, vegetarian and gluten offerings on the menu for further flexibility). I ordered the main but I can't do shellfish (shrimp): they accommodated that but I stayed on the main menu. Which leads me to the next best thing about this place: the people. Service was outstanding. Many staff will visit your table. I loved hearing about the restaurant, Chef and cooking techniques from the staff. It was fun getting to know everyone. Final notes: street parking was easy. They have a bar and little bit of bar seating. My husband can't wait to stop by there after work!
The New King of Columbus
A weekend drive up the Scioto River lead me to the largest Bourbon Bar in Ohio. After a flight of bourbons I wondered into Clo Wine Gallery in downtown Delaware where the shop owner Nicole Vanderdofs questioned my thoughts on the best restaurant in Columbus. Without hesitation I remarked "Veritas", immediately thinking of their amazing sous vide wings and amazing lobster roll. Nicole next words were unexpected but also presented a challenge. "Have you ever been to Agni? I am sure if you had, you would change your mind!" Always up for a culinary challenge, it only took several weeks and a chilly Sunday to check Agni hours and decide to visit. Having starved the entire weekend due to Christmas parties and a overload of food served from trays. I was desperately in need of a good food and my mind craved it. Heading to the restaurant my cousin stated it was Indian cuisine and for a moment my culinary spirit was deflated. Still willing to preserve, I decided to take a chance and only order food from the bar menu. Arriving at the restaurant shortly after it open, the greeter informed us that there was only two chairs at the bar and they were reserved for a guest at 7pm. Considering it was only 5ish at the time, I immediately felt uneasy, but my inner self fought the urge to just leave. Finally being seated at the bar and the reserved sign removed, the bar staff was not only knowledgeable but more friendly than I had expected considering my first interaction upon entering. Electing to start by ordering the Warm Apple dessert first, I had hope to get my sweets in before our small bites. However the first dish to arrive was the Island Macaroni Salad. They say you never get a second chance to make a first impression, and this unusual dish was a perfect way to set the wow factor on a culinary experience. This dish was unique, with flavor and some slight heat. Nicole's words immediately begin to whisper in my ear. After the servers realized they had not brought out the dessert first, they regrouped and delivered a dish that was intended to cleanse our palate. This small bit was equally different, semi sweet with a curry liquid meant to fill the cup like pastry. The next dish to arrive was the Pulpo Frito. The only restaurant that I felt had mastered the art of sous vide octopus and then frying it to a crisp was Veritas, but now Agni had not only mastered this dish but added their own unique twist of flavors that I could say surpassed my favorite place. Ready to give judgement, The Crisp Ribs with Not Tso Sauce was the deciding factor to topple my king of Columbus restaurant and crown Agni the new king. Not realizing I was actually judging the restaurant, the staff and servers were overly qualified and knowledgable in all areas of the culinary experience at Agni. The staff provided us signature chocolate desserts to end our wonderful experience. After tasting all the amazing dishes, I explain to our server that Nicole had suggested I visit the restaurant and told me I would prefer Agni over Veritas after trying. I concurred, and I would agree after my experience. The evening was a treat of culinary delights and I look forward to returning for the full course experience along with me ordering my favorites from the bar. All in all Agni is a 11 out of 10 in ratings.
Amazing Unique and Flavorful Date Night Dining Experience
We had a fantastic dining experience at Agni! Everything was so thoughtfully put together at the chef's table. I have a food allergy, and the staff worked hard to make sure I still had the full menu tastings. You can tell the tiny details they put into their work here. Alex was our server, and he was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Vegetarian options: The staff will work hard to help vegetarians get a wide selection

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
