10 Butchers Korean BBQ Sunnyvale Reviews from The Last Year
Maybe I am too spoiled by kbbq in LA.
.. I would give it a 3 by LA standards but 4 in the bay considering there aren't really any premium kbbq competitors in the area. Food alone, the meats are high-quality and the drinks were sweet but good. The side dishes were normal to me - nothing really noteworthy to mention. The server was attentive and cooked the meat nicely. Overall, I feel that the meats are a bit overpriced for the portions and there aren't really any stand out accompaniments to enjoy with the meal. Other places at this price range usually have some elevated variations of classic dishes that are included in set menus or a la carte but I just saw soups and cold noodles here. Maybe I need to try again?
I like taking friends and family here when they visit
I like taking friends and family here when they visit because it's always a nice experience. It is definitely nice to not have to worry about meat getting overcooked and focus on enjoying friends. This place is pretty expensive but it's still enjoyable because the service is great and the meat is good quality. The cook on the meat varies depending on how many servers they have and the server but it's never been terrible. Their side dishes are also really good and you can request free refills. Getting the wasabi is a must. My boyfriend loves the onion and green onion salads.
Overall solid experience: service was great.
Cocktails were delicious. The highballs is quite nice. Overall flavor of the food and the preparation was great. Overall ambience is chill.. we came on a Monday at 530 with no reservations and were seated right away...and by 630 it was packed .. the only negative is the price point for the portion size. But I would go again with a large party..
Like many other reviews said, this place is amazing.
The Japanese Wagyu was worth it, melts in your mouth. A touch of wasabi on it makes it even better. I really appreciate someone else cooking it because I'd hate to mess up cooking a beautiful cut of beef. Service was great. Reservations are a must, this place is packed! One tiny thing that bugged me was how many texts and emails I got reminding me of the reservation. I got 1-2 texts per day and an email every other day. I was also asked to confirm the reservation the night before and again the day of. It was a bit overkill.
Updating our review again since we've now come consistently
Updating our review again since we've now come consistently for celebrations or date nights and have been really happy with both the quality of meat and the service. Always super attentive with a reservation and top notch meats they cook for you. They're also great about asking for personal preferences like having a portion of your meats more or less done depending on what your group likes. Ambiance is always spotless and clean. Most tables (minus the one by the bathroom) are great to sit at with lots of servers floating around.
This place has great service but is highly overpriced.
For 4 people and only 3 cuts of meat + 1 side and no drinks or anything else = $300? Crazy money just for KBBQ. It didn't help that we just got back from Seoul a month prior this where you can get better quality meats, the same service + better side dishes for 25% of that cost. I wouldn't come here as your first KBBQ spot = it would turn you off from the whole experience because the price is just too much. We definitely will not return here moving forward. I gave it the 2 stars purely because of the service provided. We will not return based purely because the price is not a good value for KBBQ.
We enjoyed the Japanese A5 wagyu rib eye and short ribs.
The bibimbap is alright. Nice service and polite staff. Unlike other kbbq restaurants, 10 butchers is clean and modern (clothes didn't smell like smoke or meat after!) Remember to make reservations in advance.
We heard great things about this place so we decided to
We heard great things about this place so we decided to give it a try during our visit. Got here around 8pm and was seated within 10 minutes. Had no prior reservation. Food was exceptionally good. We got: A5 wagyu. 5/5- $110 Brisket. 5/5 Pork Belly. 5/5. Soup 5/5 Definitely on the pricier side and we spent about $300 with tip etc. Additionally, they charge for everything else ex. Lettuce, other sides (that usually comes free at other places) etc. Con: They cook everything for you. This cause interruption within conversation and lack of privacy (in my opinion). Additionally, I like some of my meat to be cook more (crunchy) or less cook (more rare side). This was hard to tell since they cook cooked it their way. Since they cook everything, we felt rush to eat too. Our cook would come and ask if were ready for the next meat to be cook every 5 minutes or so. I almost asked if I can cook myself but didnt lol. Since everyone else around was getting their meat cook. When it came for time to pay, the lady waited and hover as I was getting my tip ready etc. Weird and def did not like that. TLTR: good meat cut. Not AYCE so you wont get stuff/over eat (i like it). If you want a more intimate/more privacy then this place is not it. Food is 5/5. 3/5 star rating is for my overall experience. I probably won't return, because of the price point (i can spend this elsewhere, where I will enjoy the ambiance more) and the service style this place have. The service is 5/5 if youre looking for someone to be on standby and cook etc. But not my type of service.
I heard amazing things about this place.
I went here for my friend's birthday and there were 4 of us. We got three different meats to share. We got the Wagyu Brisket, Wagyu Outside Skirt, and Marinated Bone In Short Rib. The sides were good. They give refills on all sides. When it came to the food, it was cool because they cook it for you! I wish the server explained what each meat was so we can differentiate them all from each other. The food was great and I liked the Wagyu Outside Skirt the best. My friends liked that one and the Marinated Bone In Short Rib. I think that the food was yum and the inside was cool too! It is a bit louder and the tables are pretty huge so it may be hard to hear your whole group. Overall great experience!
Gave this place a 2nd chance walking in.
While the food was ok, I don't like that they constantly rushed us to leave. Literally staring and asking every few minutes if we need anything else. You just asked us two seconds ago like 10 times. The constant staring and passive-aggressive nagging was very annoying and offputting for our $100+ per person meal. If there's a time limit on the table, then I'd rather they just tell us. I don't recommend for a date night if you don't want to be rushed after paying for a very expensive meal.
Very pleasant experience. Will be back.
Came here on an early Saturday evening for an early mother's day dinner. Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. I recommend making reservations ahead of time. You pick a time on their website and they email you back to see if it was accepted. There was a lot of people waiting outside the restaurant. We ordered: Green onion pancake with octopus - 4/5 - crunchy on the outside. Plenty of octopus and vegetables. Bean paste stew with wagyu beef and tofu - 3/5 - solid but not that much different than our local Korean place. A5 ribeye (6 oz) - 5/5 - I thoroughly enjoyed this. Cooked perfectly. Rib cap (6 oz) - 5/5 - we actually enjoyed this more than the A5 Salt based marinated prime bone in short rib (22 oz) - 4/5 - we were surprised how sweet this was. This was served last, and we were already kind of full. A non-alcoholic mocktail for the kid, Mai Tai for the wife and a coke for me. All this came out to a tad over $350 before tip. Our griller Tim was amazing. You can tell he has done this before. He did the grilling for three tables at once. Going back and forth from table to table. Big props to Tim.
The restaurant had a cool atmosphere once we were finally
The restaurant had a cool atmosphere once we were finally seated. We made a reservation and they basically didn't honor it because they were taking walk-ins. So, I would do a better job with the hostess who are seating customers. The dining experience was good. The server was helping in explaining what to order and how much to order and how this Korean dining experience worked. The food was very very expensive. We were a party of 3 and we paid over $200 including tip and didn't have any drinks or dessert. So, if you are on a budget this is most definitely not where you want to go. If you want to splurge and try a different dining experience it's worth a try.
Chances are you've already heard about this place.
If you haven't, you pay premium prices for a premium KBBQ experience. What's not to love? (Aside from the bill, of course) The sides are plentiful and delicious and the refills keep coming. Any meat you pick will be a good choice, cooked in front of you to perfection. The marbling and presentation are always great. That's the brand you pay for. I did want to give a special mention to the galbi-jjim, which was fairly large (almost Daeho size!) and came with plenty of meat and these absolutely gigantic rice cakes that my group could not get enough of. A great experience all around.
OOOOOH MAN I don't drive far for most things but 10
OOOOOH MAN I don't drive far for most things but 10 butchers definitely makes the cut. I've been here several times for special occasions or just catching up with friends working in SV. I've been here with smaller and larger parties and the service is always top notch each time. Everyone is super nice and we've never had to wait on anything. As you've probably already seen, the meat quality is exceptional and for that reason they cook it for you-I wouldn't trust myself to do it otherwise. I've tried a few of their cooked foods such asvthe japchae and while it was good, I wouldn't get it again, because I'm here for the meats! We've paired wine here before but I'm not well versed enough to speak on that but they did let one of us try it before they poured us the bottle. Obviously all these things do set this at a much higher price point than Id normally spend on a meal but I personally feel it's so worth it and I find myself coming back here every few months!
Walking into 10 Butchers felt like stumbling upon a hidden
Walking into 10 Butchers felt like stumbling upon a hidden treasure in the world of Korean dining. The atmosphere was upscale yet inviting, setting the stage for what turned out to be an incredible culinary journey. Let's dive straight into the star of the show: the meat. It was nothing short of amazing - tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Each bite was a testament to the skill and expertise of the butchers behind the scenes. Seriously, it was like a symphony of flavors dancing on my taste buds. But it wasn't just the meat that impressed me. The service was top-notch, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do - a rare find these days. And let's not forget about the banchan - those delicious little side dishes that kept coming and coming. From spicy kimchi to savory pickled veggies, each one was a delightful addition to the meal and kept us coming back for more. Now, I'll be real with you - 10 Butchers isn't the cheapest spot in town. But trust me when I say it's worth every penny. The quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience make it a true standout in the world of Korean dining. I think if you're looking for a truly exceptional dining experience, look no further than 10 Butchers. With its amazing meat, top-notch service, and unlimited banchan, it's a culinary gem that's not to be missed.
Super disappointing.
1 star: The Wagyu Rib Fingers (#5) were so stringy and tough. I had to spit out the meat after chewing because it was too tough to chew. 5 stars: The pork jowls were very good. Tender and crispy.
Always a great time at 10 butchers.
I've been here 5 or 6 times now, and each time it doesn't disappoint. Honestly can't go wrong with their meat selection, we ordered the short rib, beef tongue, and pork belly, and they were all realllly good. Paired with the side dishes, each bite was chef's kiss. We also ordered the jap chae, which had eggplants and lettuce that I've personally not normally seen in jap chae dishes (a nice surprise). My favorite aspect of 10 butchers aside from the quality of the food is the modern ambiance + side dishes (honestly probably one of my fav selections of side dishes amongst south bay Korean restaurants). Note that barley tea used to be given out at the start, but we had to specifically ask for it this time (no extra charge). Service as usual was attentive and prompt, no complaints and will always look forward to coming back!
The process to make a reservation is terrible and my online
The process to make a reservation is terrible and my online reservation was cancelled. The reservation time slots listed on their website are not even accurate. Certain time slots are blocked (likely due to a booked reservation), but the available time slots are not actually available. Why would a business provide an open time slot for reservations on their website if it is not even available in the first place? Why go through the trouble of only blocking off certain booked reservations, but not all of them?
Their level of consistency is unmatched, yes it's a little
Their level of consistency is unmatched, yes it's a little pricy but you always know what you'll be paying for and the quality of meat/service is the same each and every single time. Never fails to disappoint. I like consistency very much. This place provides you with that warm satisfying sensation after a good meal, and you don't crave anything else afterwards for the rest of the day. Please order soybean soup. The meat is of the highest quality, and does tend to get very rich. The soup helps a lot and you'll be able to enjoy everything you order to its fullest!
High quality service and food.
Good environment. A little bit pricey but the money is on par with the experience
if you're looking for a high class Korean bbq place where
if you're looking for a high class Korean bbq place where you wont come out smelling like youre the head chef of a bbq restaurant you def want to come here. Their meat selection is top tier and its not all you can eat so you know the quality is way better. they have vents between the grill to suck out the smoke so you never have to worry about smelling after dinner. And there is always a cook that cooks and serves you which is awesome!! I highly recommend this place and ordering the US wagyu, Short Rib fingers, and Beef tongue.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
